Please pray for me and my family. My brother tried to kill himself on Christmas. He's in a mental hospital for evaluation until thursday but we were really torn apart by it. I have no idea what to do or how to help him. I just feel so helpless.

Aww Sharon, I'm sooo sorry to hear your family is having a rough time this Christmas. Obviously your brother is having trouble understanding his value; how much he's appreciated, how much he's loved, how much he'd be missed if he wasn't around. Be sure to tell him when you can. Also, let him know that you're there for him, like always, if he ever needed or wanted to talk to someone. That's really all you can do for him....the rest of how he feels about himself and life has to come from him.
So very sorry to hear this, Sharon. You are one of my favorite folks, here.
I will be sure to ask our preacher to say a special prayer for your brother, this sunday, at church. What is his name?
Trust in prayer & Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Aww,Sharon,I'm so sorry,I will pray nonstop. I will tell my friends to pray, too, and I'll put up a special knotice on the CHristmas Club and in my club, too.
There have been similar instances around here too. My dad and my brother are on the Volunteer Fire Dept. and EMT crew and they had to go the very same call Christmas Eve night when we had sit down to open gifts from one another, thank goodness that they both are receiving some help. You and your family and brother will be in our thoughts and prayers!!
that's the down side of holidays. it's a time of joy for most, but for many it's a time of loneliness and desperation. if only people could look into a crystal ball and see how important they are to everyone around them. your family is in my prayers.
Sharon, my prayers are with ya. During the holidays, is a bad time for anyone depressed, and sometimes they go to extreme. Hold your family tight, and all of us here send prayers. Were a family, bottom line.
