I am doing the play Aladdin. One teacher gave me a harem girl costume. I said to my friends hey guys look at my costume! and my one friend was like thats ugly! I was really mad and cried after school cause she was laughing and stuff

Absolutely as calmly as possible let her know your feelings were hurt! If you say nothing, you are teaching her you can be treated disrespectfully!

Plus, if she has no good explanation of why she did what she did and doesn't seem sincerely sorry, drop her. I agree with Vince on this one. True friends don't act that way.

Always have an immediate come back to such remarks...Such as "Maybe so but I am wearing it and you're not" or "Maybe so but I will make it shine like NEW MONEY as I am that hot"..Take the negative comment and turn it around to a positive right then and there...

I AGREE!!!!! The girl was making fun of her. If like Kirsten had said that the outfit was ugly,they could have laughed with her,but it's never funny to laugh at her. It's never funny to laugh at people.
