No. I don't think I saw anyone from KF, that I knew of.
I might have seen Kellie's dad as I was walking into the arena, though. The guy walked right in front of me, but was already past me before I realized it. I stopped, thought to myself, "was that Kellie's dad?" and then turned around, but he was already buried in the crowd at that point. Sure looked like him though.
That would be cool if it was!!
You should have yelled out, "Kellie's dad!!" haha That would have been funny if he turned around!

I'll always be picking Pickler!
I saw Kellie on 7/6/06, 9/2/07 and finally saw her in concert again and met her on 1/17/08!
Ah, I see the crowds seem to be well behaved and respectful. That's great!
More and more I am starting to see that Chris is pretty popular in almost all of the review I have read. Was he that good? or was it more just an infatutation? I haven't seen him live yet so I cannot really tell. I can't wait for my tour so I can see for myself how the Idols are received, especially our Kellie
If you had to rate their performances in terms of stage presense, projection and connectively with the crowd, how well did they all do?
I know they all did great, but I need some real point-of-view perspective.
Lastly, how was the security? Did they frisk, being agressive or just glance at what you had and let you on your way.

Thanks again Mike
Good questions all. It may take a while before I get to the full ratings.
The crowds here in Charlotte do tend to be polite. Charlotte is a banking town, and bankers tend to be somewhat reserved once you get them off the roads and out of their Hummers and Beamers.
I think what helps Chris is that he's a rocker, and rocker crowds are loud. His songs are really loud also. I don't think his people know the words yet to Styx' "Renegade" (I once owned the original on vinyl so I had a leg up on the younger ones here), but everytime Chris did anything, the crowd went wild.
I do sense some real star presence from the guy, more so than from previous rocker Idols. He's very polished.
Taylor was a riot to watch, and the crowd just loved him. Elliott also has some solid backing here in Charlotte.
As far as security, the local arena provides that, so that's going to vary. Here, they checked every bag going in with a flashlight. But it was a real quick look. At least one person sitting near me got in a zoom lens that exceeded the three-inch limit by at least two inches. I was stunned and saddened by the blatent disregard for regulations.
One thing that interest me, since that they have now done so many shows, how does their performance differ from show to show. Are their performances changed/spiced up on a show-by-show basis with respect to the location/audiences or they just "cookie cutter" performances (did you notice any differences based on the past videos that was uploaded to KellieFans). I sure hope it's the former.
Did you notice any signs/shirts/decorations that stood out for any of the idols, especially Kellie's
I have a feeling I am going to pull off getting in a video cam through security I really want to capture the tour on video so that I can share my experience here.
hey thanks Mike for posting this , checking that out and the rest of the post on your thread here. hmm i been misssing alot of news , since i'd been busy.
It was great. She looked fantastic -- pretty much just like in the interview with the extensions and not too much makeup.
Kat dedicated her "Over the Rainbow" to Kellie, and that was nice. Kellie was down in front, I think with the roadies. Apparently the Idols sneak out to watch the others perform, and that's where Kellie was, with a hooded sweatshirt for her "disguise." Kat brought her up on stage and sang to her, and I think Kellie also was in bare feet!
(Maybe that was the big surprise, because there was no announcement. Who knows, maybe someone told her she couldn't say anything about the CD release date.)
Other than that, I think Kellie did a pretty standard set from what I've heard. She did the duet with Bucky, "I'm the Only One," a shortened version of "Walking After Midnight" and then "Something to Talk About."
All the Idols said something about being in Kellie, Bucky and Chris' home territory.
Other than Kellie, I was most impressed myself with the Chris and Taylor performances. Chris is definitely going to be a star, and Taylor really can work a crowd. Lisa doing Elton John songs on the keyboard was pretty charming, and Elliott has more fans here than I would have thought. Paris is a bundle of energy
But really, all of them were good, I thought. How's that for quick review?
Awww thats nice of Kat. thanks for the review, I can't wait to see them next month and give my review
