Need some help with a video from IDF

I have a problem with one of Vinman's videos I downloaded from the IDF site. It was of Kellie singing "Lets Give Them Something to Talk About." When I play it with my DivX player (I have all current updates), I get nothing but the picture, no sound. When I play it with my Windows Media Player, I get nothing but the audio. I have had no trouble playing any of the other files that I have downloaded.

Could someone please help?

Thanks Rocelle!

The VideoLan player worked. It had the right codec to play the file. Obviously, the DivX and Windows Media player don't have the right codec for Vinmans avi files. I can play other avi files, but not his. These multiple file types with a common extension is totally confusing. Plus, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to find out what codec you need and where to get it.

Whatever.....thanks a lot for the tip.

There is a program I posted one called Video Inspector. It helps to identify the codec needed. Do a search on the net.

My divx vids are encoded with the lateste DIVX 6.22 codec and upgrading the the latest divx player should install the needed codec to play.
