"Gone Country" Finale Draws Big Audience
Apparently America wanted to know who was going country last week. More than two-million cumulative viewers watched the final segment of CMT's "Gone Country" last Friday. Over the seven-week period, fans tuned to the show in record numbers, making it the highest-rated series in the network's history. This series brought seven established performers from every genre of entertainment and music, including Bobby Brown, Carnie Wilson, Dee Snider, Diana DeGarmo, Julio Iglesias Jr., Maureen McCormick and Sisqo, in an effort to teach them to be a country star. Host John Rich of Big & Rich chose Iglesias as the person to watch in country music.
