scared
Hey guys!!
Well…I usually don’t write much about me here…just stick mostly to Kellie. But I’m going to a new school this year, with many new kids. It’s actually just graduating up to a different school and I’m a little scared. I’ve had trouble about what people have said about me, because as much as I try to…it just hurts me sometimes. It’s something I really don’t like talking about.
I’m at this age, where everything’s pretty much changing and I’m not sure of many things…

Carson buddy,I know,it's so hard changing schools,I went through those changes myself,I went to two private christian schools before transfered to public school as a kid. It was hard to adjust, especially going from private to public school, and the fact i'm learning disabled,i was teased quite a bit.
It is definately a scary feeling and i know how you feel my little buddy. Keep your chin up and whenever you need to talk,i'll be here.

I am going to a new school and so are my best pals and we are all nervous! I understand what your saying! Don't let this nervousness ruin your summer. If kids are mean just ignore them it's not worth it! Good luck!
Carson, I can still remember when my son, (who is now 41!) left elementary school and moved on to middle school...lol He was scared to death!! I think this is something that EVERYONE, not just you, goes through in their life. Even older people, when they move to another job, etc. Change is scary, but very necessary and healthy!! And kids that make fun of you....for whatever reason, are the ones that are lacking in self confidence. Those kind of folks have been around forever, and will never go away. Try to ignore them (and I know that sure is not easy) and find the friends that you like and are comfortable with and get involved in things that are fun to you!! Join things in school, that you like, and concentrate on what it is that you enjoy and are interested in, and forget about what other people say about it or it they like it or not. This is going to pass, you are going to get through it, and someday it will just be a memory...maybe not the best memory...but a memory! Concentrate on making yourself the best that you can be!! Be proud of yourself, forget the losers.
Carson-we are all here for you. This is like one big family. Try to enjoy the rest of the summer and dont worry too much about the new school. Be yourself and dont let others place you in an unhappy mood. Ignore them. AS Kellie says in her song "Don't you know you're BEAUTIFUL".
If I dwelled on each time someone teased me about my disabilities, I would have long been committed to an institution. It just aint worth it!! =)
Good luck and think of it as a new challenge; another hill to climb. Place Kellie in your thoughts-that HAS to place a smile on your face! =)
your friend

took the words out of my mouth. totally agree with you!
Hey Carson, trust me I know where you are right now. Im starting highschool next month! Im so nervous.
But I have learned that the best way to to not show that your shy; talk to people, say hi, and ask questions.
Whats the worst that will happen? They might roll their eyes and walk away but that shows that those are the people you dont need to be around because you are better than that. You'll make lots of friends.
Im sure you'll do just fine.
