how do you know when someone is interested?

i want mainly some guy opinions here. what do you do when you like a girl? do you flirt? give her gifts, completely freak out and walk away, get fidgety? i need answers!!!!!! lol

Hey my night owl friend!
I would say that this depends on the age group of the guy.
When I was a pup, I would shower her with gifts in hopes that she would be impressed enough to go out with me. Then, I would take her to neato places, in hopes that she would be impressed even more. This would inevitably turn out to be a bust. I was only feeding my own insecurity. Unfortunately, I learned that lesson too late.
As I grew older, I found that conversation is the key. Material things are not that important.
Flirt? Of course!! Flirting is a guy thing that will survive the ages. All guys flirt. Always will. It's fun and can be the ultimate ego booster.

what's up buddy? Merry christmas btw^^ haha. ok can i give you some examples i've experienced?

-we did a secret santa at work. he turned out to be mine. he didn't tell me at first, he even tried to make me believe he got someone else and then finally told me. oh and the limit on the gift was $20, he gave me a best buy gift card for $30. i asked him why 30? and he kinda shrugged it off with a smile and said "i don't know..."

-he gives me high fives all the time, and one time put his hands on my shoulders for a split second to get my attention

i really like him and i left him a secret admirer note today (kinda corny i know, lol) and slipped it next to his locker at work, but it's still up there unopened. he was at work today so i'm wondering, did he not see it? are guys really that oblivious sometimes?

this is driving me crazy FRED!! AHHHH. i feel like he's messing with my mind. oh and i have some more examples if you wanna hear them...

My buddy, Sigmund (Sigmund Frued), would have a party with this one.
The high fives & hands on shoulders are subtle ways of having physical contact with you without being too obvious that he wants to get closer.
Anyway, Sid, just play it cool and have lunch with the guy. You probably have lunch at pretty much the same time, so just talk with him over a sandwich.
Are guys oblivious, sometimes? Oh yes! I know that I can be. We all need a boot in the butt, at times, to open our eyes to what's happening.

that's what i thought too. here's another thing:

-he's sometimes my "boss" on days at work and he kinda keeps things running up front. (i work at a grocery store) one time i couldn't find him so i just opened up on a register. he comes over and i told him "i just opened up b/c i didn't know what you wanted me to do" and he says "i want you to give me a hug" and then just kidding. and he does that just kidding stuff a lot.

and what do you think about the gift card thing fred? was he just being super duper nice or something else??

The "just kidding" stuff is a cover in case you're offended by whatever. Actually, he's not "just kidding". He's gonna have to get over that & say what he really means.
As for the gift card, that's a tough call. It could be he was just feeling generous or maybe he felt that you deserved more or possibly he's trying to impress you with his generosity or it could be his way of getting your attention towards him. Or, maybe none of the above. I doubt it, tho. I'm probably at least close with one of those.
