I need to vent!
I need to vent desperately! My grandma is a very stubborn, 84 year old woman. Remember the dog whose pics I posted, named Chia? Well my grandma is most likely going to give the dog back to its foster mom. Why? Because the dog sheds (not that much) and she (grandma) doesn't want to go outside with the dog all the time. Now, my grandma, as I said, is very stuuborn and is set in her ways. All her life the only dog she's ever had was a poodle. None of us like poodles, my grandma's last poodle was as dumb as could be and was not the best behaved dog ever. Now my grandma's saying she shouldn't have even gotten Chia in the 1st place, because my grandma is never going to change, and has now decided (after getting the dog) that she wanted a poodle all along. Why? Poodles don't shed. Is that not the dumbest reason you ever heard? And to top things off, she's not even giving Chia a fair chance. She's not staying home with the dog and trying to work with her on getting her more used to car rides, etc. And she's (grandma) been whining about this for a few weeks ever since she got Chia. We've all been very mad and upset with her, she's not being fair to herself or to the dog. She says Chia is a very sweet and loveable dog, which is exactly the kind of dog my grandma likes. And the 1 time she came over, Chia did not try to bite or attack my dog or cat, which is very good. So can someone tell me what is so special about a poodle? My mom's grown up with them, and even she's not all that crazy about them! I've been crying about this whole situation, and my grandma says she feels bad, but I bet she doesn't feel as bad as we do, because I don't think she even realizes how unfair she's being to the dog or herself. Maybe if she gave Chia a chance, she could overlook the shedding, etc.
