Prayers

My church is having a really hard time lately. In June, our music director left our church for another church in Florida, and then our youth pastor left for one of the 2nd fastest growing church in America, the Summit in Raleigh, and now our senior Pastor is retiring for another job at the NC Baptist Children's Home. In less than 6 months, we've lost 3 influential people in our congregation and we really need all the prayers we can get to get through this rough time of searching for new people to fill the positions :[.

I have no doubt in my mind that everything will come together. I guess time will tell... I hope you and your church can stay strong.

Thanks girl :]. It's just a crazy time to announce something like that, with the holidays right here. I don't know if I'm more upset about the fact that he's the 3rd staff member to leave or the fact that his wife, JanJan, is absolutely the life of the church. She's totally nuts. A LOT like Kellie.

I definately knowing what your church is going through Allie,my church itself has gone through huge changes.Many of those who were once part of our congregration have left due to having a new pastor with the church.Pastor Tobin is quite the opposite of what Pastor Pete was.Pastor Pete had been a part of our church for over 20 years,then announced he was leaving after getting an associate pastor,that's Tobin.Once Pete had moved on,things changed quite drastically,from a growing church to dismal.At one time we had over 1,000people in our church congregation,don't know of the approximate number now,my estimated guess would be 500 at the least.
With the holidays comming it will be extremely hard on your church.Your church family will remain in my constant prayers.

Aww Allie! sorry to hear that. Hope someone that fills the position will be just as uplifting and nurturing to your community. With the holiday's approaching fast why couldn't they wait til after the new years.

I know right. I mean honestly. December 2nd is his last day and thats what, barely a month off.

I will definitely keep you and your church family in my prayers. Just remember everything happens for a reason and God will work it all out. God doesn't make mistakes.

God will provide the right pastor and youth pastor for your church. If the church is centered on the Bible then He will not fail to deliver and He will deliver.

Remember that not all pastors are the same so the coming pastor may not be as funny, engaging, and elloquent as the one who left but remember that what counts is that the pastor is a strong believer in the Word of God and that He has a Vision for the church. It is these that ought to be first and formost in a church leader and the rest will follow.
