But he's an amazing preacher. His father was really strong in his faith and he passed away from brain cancer last year. His name's Mason, he's homeschooled and he knows more than most of the older people in my church. Today was our pastor's final sunday which was really difficult for everybody. But yeah, Mason's going to be a minister. He said he was called to the ministry when he was 10.

Wow, now that is the boy is something special. It is a rare thing to have someone so young to already have a mission in life.
ABC News has done a story on young boys who are just 5yrs old. The boys are already preaching in the streets and in church (1). The idea of children becoming evangelist raises questions as to how they are so driven in the first place; are they raised to be pastors, are they pressured? If they are not driven to be pastors, then how can a child so small have an understanding of a full adult?
As much as I believe Mason's mission, I have to agree that he must not enter in as a pastor yet; not until he is an educated and mature adult. He has a lot to learn. I don't want to stand in the way of God's will but in the Bible, there is only one instance of a child in a leadership role and that is Solomon. Mason believe he has a calling, but Solomon was directly encouraged by God.
BTW. Beware of anyone calling themselves "Apostle" or "Prophet."
1 "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder,
2 and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,'
3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 13:1-4 NASB
13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.
