How do I get out of this???
I may sound a little selfish but my grandparents are always at my house, always wanting to go out to eat with us or take us somewhere. I'm very gratefl for that but sometimes it's just like leave me alone! I'm thankful that they care about me so don't get me wrong but seriously I'm almost a teenager, I have a life!
It's springbreak and I'm supposed to hang out with my boyfriend and my friend and her boyfriend this week. My mom said I could but now she is saying I have to go to the ZOO with my grandparents on Tuesday then to the movies with them on Wednesday. That's really dumb. And I have to spend the whole entire day with them .I am always with them. Should I be able to spend time with my friends other than school? Gosh!?!?
Any suggestions to how I can get out of it!?

Well, grandparents usually want time with their grandchildren because well you never know how much longer they will be around. Next time you have plans and they ask you to go somewhere you just gotta say "I'm sorry, I have other plans today" you dont need to say who with, and your being honest, and not rude at all. Then they could take your brother out and you can have time to your self.

Yeah, that happens a lot with grandparents. It happened for me once to but my mom told me that I will appreciate the time I spent with my grandma when shes gone. So those are memories your always going to have. I know its really frustrating when you want to hang out with friends and then your grandparents or parents always want to do something else but you will really appreciate it when they are gone.

I know what you mean ~ Kind of -
I have no more grandparents: so, I would just spend some time;; maybe tell them you can't go to the zoo but you can go out for a dinner maybe next time. I'm 99% sure they will understand that you would like to go out. I really hope this helps you alittle more Mac
