The label just needs to ship a total of 1,000,000 to retail stores to send it platinum. With proper promo I believe Kellie's retail sales should be somewhere between 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 by now.

Well that is true,
They could have lowered prices since they shipped out more. Next time I go to my wal-mart, which might be tomorrow I will let you know on an exact amount.

Labels don't give that info out. Unless something has changed, based on the many low and no inventory reports at major retailers I'm guessing the number shipped isn't much higher than the actual number sold though, around 679,000 to 750,000. I haven't seen anything to indicate that they are going for platinum sales, at least not anytime soon. I'd much rather see more promo and sales than just a platinum album.

definitely looking good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I really hope she gets this in the new year, even if it's a belated Christmas present, that's good too, right?

ur right, they should, coz if anyone would support Kellie that would be her home state. They should have kept the supply fluid at those places she toured at besides keeping the price decent.

With that upsurge of copies noted at some stores, i think the shipped number must have been at least 800,000 if not more. If the take up even after Christmas is decent, we just might hear some good news.
It's really sad that they didn't support Kellie's album from the beginning. I've said many times, it would have been at least a platinum and a half by now.
