Question about a word in the lyrics for Things
In the Chorus of Things, I have a question about a word:
"Not on a lake, _________ my line."
I saw the lyrics somewhere, and the word was "reeling", which makes sense but clearly not what she is singing on the album.
Maybe "weighting" i.e. adding weights (?????)
Or, "wetting" , i.e., getting the line wet. (???)
Other ideas?

Thats what I always thought it was....but I never really paid that much attention to it. lol

Is that a common fishing term, used for getting the line in the water?
LOL. Shows how much of a fisherman I am, I guess! I should be ashamed, I practically grew up on Lake Wylie, south of Charlotte. Brim fishing off the pier is about all the fishing I did.
Now that I'm a grandpa, I have got to get into fishing, or I'm not gonna make much of a grandpa, am I?

If you search the lyrics, all the sites say it's either "reelin'" or "wettin.'" lol

LOL,, when you listen , or when I listen to it, it kinda sounds like ' threadin' my line..lol 
but, then my hearing isn't very good. and you all looked so, you would be right...
just like the lines in , "I'm on my Way"
I hear from the 'back of a "need less lie" when i put head phones in and push them into my ear and close my eyes..lol and concentrate...really hard..LMAO THAT IS WHAT I HEAR..
sounds like she says, " needless lie" some have said they thought it was "endless line."
i believe searching the lyrics i have read both! so which is it??? lol
but then sometimes I think I hear " endless line "too.. lol
lol i guess i could ask her..my concerts are Thursday, and Sat!!!!!
