Album prices at Wal-Mart

I for one can't make sense out of this anymore.In over a period of 1 month the prices of STG have influxuated from $11.88 to $14.99 at
Wal-Mart stores. K-Mart's prices are 14.99 as well.
What is wrong this?That's what i like to know.

Hate to say this Chris, it certainly feels like a "pay to keep Kellie on the label, or be prepared for pay for the consequences". I am very concern for her 2nd cd. It should be heads on with AI7 champion. And if it happens to be a country singer signed by a competitor,,,, well, u do the maths.

i'm not concerned in that way.... I mean Kellie has a fan base.. and she is known now.. it not like Kellie won AI5.. she would need to worry bout a country style singer winning 7 , and hurting her..?? She came in 6th on AI5... and has maintained a productive career thus far. I dunno I am confused... I just don't see how an AI7 "idol" would hurt Kellie ?

I mean look at all the AI5 idols to come out of it with contracts/cds..

where you place on idol just doesn't seem to really matter... i guess.

One thing for sure, the outrageously high price of Kellie's cd has kept Kellie from achieving platinum. Another thing for sure, the label exec. have heard of the supply and demand curve. If the high price is necessary to pay everyone associated with the cd, I'm just hoping Kellie is getting her $1.00/copy out of this.

when we are running the label for Kellie i think we are sure she's safe. Look at Kelly C. First 2 albums, multi-platinums. Third one, seems to be struggling. I hear she's working on her 4th. Not forgetting she was very quick to say, she shoulda listen to Clive Davis, a little.

Somebody said, used to be one could just walk all the way up to Taylor S when she is in concert. Nobody knows who she is. Nobody seems interested to listen to her songs. Yet one year later she sold 2 million cds. Kellie was in a program that has viewers of 30-33 million each week. She was on that show for 5 months. Tha's a heck of a long time to be on TV. Let me ask u now. Where is her fanbase compared to Taylor's? The difference is in the promotional support the 2 girls got for their albums this last year or so.

U sure her next cd will be that lucky. Maybe it's coz she's new and has a novelty feel that pp bought it. Cuteness for keep sake. Impulse, maybe not since her cd is never there. One thing for sure, there's never any guarantee. If there was, what happened to Kelly C's multi-platinum fanbase. It lasted 2 albums didn't it? So why didn't all her fans buy up her 3rd, this time around they way they did her first 2?

let it be that it's Kellie's rabid fans, ok a few rabid fans who made the battle cry. I rather its me than Kellie that had to go and make the noise, not that she ever would. For sure, i dont want to take any chances for Kellie. She does need to land a few hits. Her singles took too long on their own to climb the charts. It does seem that some promotional push is necessary to help.

It's a fact of life, u want to go it on ur own, pp will let u. In the end it's a struggle that nobody knows about and nobody even appreciated if it comes to that. When things bomb, do u really think they have time to trouble shoot? When it's their problem, they make it work. With you.

It is never my intention to riled pp up. I think as a fanbase we are too happy to take what is handed to us. Did u see Carriefans rallying over to talk Kristy Lee Cook down? Carrie is multi-plat, winner of 30 over awards, and yet they refuse to take things for granted. I'm not saying we should go and rip people off and not give a tot to other pp's careers or dreams. I'm saying we shouldn't be taking things too much for granted.

Beyonce was so up there not so many years ago. Then it was Fergie. Now did i see a Rhihanna. Come on Allie, the entertainment biz is so full of pp waiting in the flanks to hop on the wagon. The thing is do we want to make sure that there will always be a space for Kellie on it?

Maybe u dont see Kellie's last year as a huge struggle to keep things moving. She's still young. However, how long do u think she should keep going on her own like before. Cant u see how much she's change looks wise. Go check up the stock pix of Kellie when she first started on idol. That was only 2 years ago. Is it really about someone "glamming up" or should we also give stress some credit as well.

The thing is some of us do believe that she does deserve some help from her label. I think she has already proven herself this last year, they need to recipocate and do something for her from now on. Didn't u read how upset Kellie was from her 5th grader appearance. It's all the publicity she generated herself. Why would she need to let her tv appearance be one of the only vehicle to help her sell her albums? Even when a person run a stall at a country fair, there comes a time when one goes home and rest up. I dont think her work ends there when she stops singing.

S7 has started. Tell me what happens if another country lass wins it all this year, is there any guarantee that Kellie is safe. Carriefans apparently wasnt taking any chances.

I think it's crazy that you have to pay 15 bucks at Amazon/Wal Mart for an album that's been out since Oct 2006.

The price should lower not rise.
