I just now found this thread when searching the forum for "writer credits". (I agree. They should make it sticky.)

IOMW struck me the same way. I'm surprised it wasn't written by Kellie. I wondered if it was written for or about her or if it was previously written and in someone's catalog. After some Googling, though I didn't find what I was looking for, I did see something interesting at ...

Liz Rose is one of the co-writers for IOMW. She also co-wrote many of the songs on Taylor Swift's CD including "Teardrops on My Guitar" and "Tim McGraw".

They are in good company. She also co-wrote for Trisha Yearwood and Bonnie Raitt among many others.

Wow I just noticed that Ashley Monroe wrote IOMW and thats awesome. I LOVE her. It definitely seems like a song Kellie wrote. I wish she had.

Ashley Monroe is awesome.......she had a BIG hit, "I Don't Want To" with Ronny Dunn (B&D) helping out with the vocals....she has an amazing voice....so glad she is part of one of our Kelliegirl's songs....don't know how she performs "on stage", but her video was great. I am always thinking of acts that would make good "opening acts" for Kellie.

Ashley's definitely a very talented young lady. It's a shame; she had a lot of momentum going with the single and video for "I Don't Want To." She even got an ACM nomination for vocal event of the year. But she has all but disappeared since, and her album still isn't out.

From reading her Myspace blog, I gather she's been busy writing songs and keeping a positive attitude. This is from that blog, on Aug. 31:

Let me just start off by saying thank you to all of you that posted all the sweet comments on my last blog.. it made me feel good to know you guys hadn't forgot about me!!!
I got my very first plaque for 500,000 records sold last night for a song I wrote on the Kellie Pickler CD!! It's called "I'm on my way." I was so excited! My publishing company (Wrensong) had this little get together and all the writers got to listen to their upcoming cuts. I also got to hear the final mix of my CARRIE UNDERWOOD CUT!!! OHHH MY GOSH!!! She sang her butt off on it.. I'm sooooo happy.
I have been writing almost every day! There are some things I am really excited about! Hopefully you guys will get to hear all of it soon. I also wrote this really cool song with Miranda (Lambert) a couple weeks ago that suits her perfectly! I'm so blessed to know so many wonderfully talented people.

I think Ashley had a powerful voice, far better than some people -- especially some of the young guys -- who are being heavily pushed by labels these days. She did a great job with "I'm On My Way." I hope her label sees the light.

If we wrote her and asked, I wonder if she'd to tell us whether she wrote that specifically for Kellie or if it was already in her song catalog.

I listened to "I don't want to" on her myspace. Good song & good voice.
