Staying in North Carolina This Week! =)
I on a business trip here in North Carolina till Friday! I am staying in the Raleigh/Cary area. There is not much to do here but see lots of treeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, lol! It's so quite over here compare to San Diego. It's like a ghost town here at around 7 'o clock.
We might swing by NC State in between breaks to check out the local college town, haha!
I want to swing by Albemarle, but it's a little too far from where I am staying and the boss wouldn't probably like it on my expense report, haha.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this little bit of info!

Go eat at Jimmy V's while you're on the expense account.
Welcome to Jimmy V's Steak House and Tavern
Take in a basketball game.
I don't get up that way much, but if I think of anything else ...

Haha, big college town! It's mostly a family oriented place from what I tell by talking to the locals. I think singles will find it pretty depressing, haha.
We flew down over here on Sunday and we didn't know that 99% of all of the businesses close on Sundays. I notice that all of the businesses look the same (mostly bricks). I guess it's some kind of city ordinance or something. Big signs (e.g., neon lights) are not allowed. For example, Star bucks, Sprint, all didn't have their traditional color of green and yellow, respectively. It's kind of weird because they all look the same from the outside.
One thing that I like is that the traffic is pretty light even during rush hours on Monday, but I heard from the locals that it's been steadily increasing over the years.

I would love to, but it's pretty far away. It would take me about 5 hours round trip. Unfortunately, I can only do so much given that I am here on business.

Hey Lauren,
It's a shame that you're this close and can't come!!! Well when you are back, because I know you'll be back one day.... jus tlet me know and I'll give you the grand tour!! of Albemarle!! LOL!! You think that Raleigh is slow, wait til you visit Albmarle!!! You are in the center of the triad, with Duke, NC State, and UNC right there at your fingertips!!
Anyway, hope you enjoy what little time you have while you're not on the job!!

Traffic in Raleigh seems much easier to deal with than traffic in Charlotte, even though Charlotte isn't that much bigger.
Myth or fact, most people in this state think Raleigh gets roads money far out of proportion to its population because it's the capital and the legislators don't want to get into traffic jams.

Friday is my last day It's kind of sad, but I had a great time over here and got an opportunity to try out some great southern food. Sweet tea rocks! However, I was a little disappointed that it wasn't as sweet as I some of my friends down here said it was
I didn't even know that there was a water shortage over here. It rain pretty hard today so hopefully it will help out the drought. A lot of diner I went to post signs that they won't serve water unless you explicitly ask for it.
I think I accomplished what I came here to do and hopefully I will be ask to come back down here some day again
Anyway, one trip down and another one next month to Northern California (bay area), haha! I am going to be plenty busy this year meeting a lot of people.
