quick question about an ipod

for those of you who have an ipod, you can transfer AAC files onto it right? the music files you download from itunes is what i mean

Sure. The songs you download with iTunes will sync up with your iPod.

thank you rob, that's what i thought, lol. and it plays .mp3 files too right? i'm thinking about buying an ipod touch and i have an mp3 player right now, not an ipod, that's why i'm asking.

Right. It plays mp3 files also. In fact, if you rip tunes from a CD in iTunes, you have the choice of importing them as AAC, AIFF, MP3, WAV, or something called "Apple lossless encoder". You can see those choices on the "Advanced" tab in the settings menu. I've used both AAC and MP3 for transfers to my iPod.

My iPod is a 40 gig model and it's about 4 years old now. I really like it. I might get a new one when they make a high capacity iPod Touch model.
