We just finished recording the record and I can't wait to mix it!! I've never been more proud of something I've worked on! All of these songs are such a big part of me and it's just an awesome thing to be able to get things out of my head and hear it as a song. Working with David, Jimmy and Jason has been by far my favorite experience ever in a studio! Well, okay that's a lie, there was this one time when I got to record in the studio with this red head named Reba and yeah that will always be at the top of the list, ha! BUT the guys are definitely a close second!
Everyone just split for the holidays. I'm so excited about Christmas this year! I bought my first 'real' Christmas tree this year and decorated the entire thing by myself because I wanted to, I wouldn't let my friends help. I had never decorated a tree by myself so I did, and I'm not one to brag but my tree looks pretty dang amazing ..seriously J I'm taking my family on our first Christmas vacation this year! We're going somewhere very cold and where there's lots and lots of snow! We've never had a snowy Christmas so we're all very excited! I'm mainly excited because I will be snowboarding from the time we arrive to when we leave, right on!
I hope y'all have an awesome Christmas! I grew up with a family that didn't have a lot of money for presents and stuff but I had the best times because Christmas isn't about presents people ..it's about the HOT CHOCOLATE with mini marshmallows, ha! And hot chocolate is cheap, woohoo!! Well, Christmas may be about this rad guy named Jesus but I think if he were here right now he would totally agree with my hot chocolate theory!
OH, I almost forgot! I baked my first cake EVER from scratch the other day! That's right, I said from scratch people! I made it as a Christmas present for my chef Peggy because she's always cooking for me and she loved it! Which means, I'm "Baker Betty" and I'm just now tapping into this new side of me! Seriously, I sound stupid talking about how I baked something but y'all, I don't bake ...anything ..ever. This is huge for me!

I can't wait for her new album. I remember when she finished "Breakaway" she said the same thing about never being as proud of something she's worked on so I have high hopes for this album.
I love her journal entry too. It's obvious she talks a lot by looking at how much she wrote hehe.
This will be the best album EVER! Kelly is the best! I gott all A's and one B on my report card so I will finally get to be in the fanclub! =] yay yaaaaayyy

RockonPickler - I think she said Rock (Pop/Rock). Although she wants to make a country album in the future... and an acoustic album. She obviously has a lot of goals set!

ummmm I just cant see Kell Clarkson do Country, I think, her voice is good for only what she does now, I dont think she has a country kind of a voice.......
Kelly can pull off anything in my opinion. Have you seen her duet with Reba (she was in the recording studio with Reba as well).. or Martina? She can sing whatever. She even sang at some Tony Bennett special and I don't like that music but it's still no suprise she sang it well.

That's kind of why I asked because I know she is very close to some country music stars and did one of Reba's songs on a CMT special awhile back. I think she did a duet with Rascal Flats as well at the CMT awards back in May too.
I figured she would still do a Rock/Pop album again because it did so well and is probably what most fans around the would want to see from her right now.
I bet they will be a country album in the future sometime. That would be cool.

I am so pumped for this album, you have no idea...ALMOST like I was for Kellie's!
