Anyone here excited about the OSCARS?
Here are the nominees:

I have seen the following movies that are on the nominated list and that I highly recommend to watch:
- "The Departed"
- "The Last King of Scottland"
- "Babel"
- "Blood Diamond"
- "The Prestige"
I hope Leonardo wins for best Actor because he has been nominated a lot in the past and he hasn't won any as far as I know. He did an amazing job in both the "Departed" and especially in "Blood Diamond". I think; however, the best actor in a leading role is going to go to "Forest Whitaker". Not that he wasn't good. I just thought that Leonardo deserves it more. However, Forest Whitaker portrayal of "Idi Amin" was spot on and chiling at times. When they introduce his character in the opening scene for the first time, you get a sense of how good he is.
I hope Babel wins for Editing because I am amazed oh how well they're able to edit and make all of the scenes come to gether without leaving you wondering what's going on and getting you lost in the transistion/scenes. Babel is similar to "Crash" in that different lives are taking place in different parts of world: Japan, San Diego and Moracco, but somehow they're lives/situation all are connected in some way at the end.
