Kellie Pickler's ACM Performance Ignites Single

Kellie Pickler's performance of her yet-to-be-released Country Music single, "Don't You Know You're Beautiful" at the ACM Awards Sunday night was such a hit that it pushed her record label to rush-deliver hard copies of the song to radio stations all over the country.

The song, described as a sort of girls' anthem by Kellie Pickler's label, BNA, wasn't set to ship until the end of May. But Pickler's ACM performance created an internet buzz in chat rooms and throughout the media. The single will now be available to radio stations by Monday, according to a BNA.

The song is from Pickler's sophomore album set to be released in early fall. The young Country Music star recently won three CMT awards and is currentlytouring with Rascal Flatts.

I am so excited! It is such a wonderful song and hope it will be a hit! btw I hated Carrie's new song that she did on the acm's. It is not country at all; it sounds more like hard rock and she screams thru the song and it does not do justice to her gorgeous voice.

I have to agree. I much preferred her duet of "Make the World Go Away" with Brad. "Last Name" is a clever, well written song. But I have to wonder where they are going with the story line that runs through it & "Before He Cheats". (Doesn't quite fit well with "Jesus Take the Wheel".) Maybe they'll surprise us with some sort of twist one day.

I have the CD "Gospel Favorites from the Grand Ole Opry" where Carrie does" How Great Thou Art" and it's a beautiful use of her voice.

There was an interview with Kellie where she was talking about picking songs for STG. She said she couldn't relate to several of the songs they pitched to her and that's when she started writing. You get the feeling she also really has to relate to songs others write before she sings them. That adds so much to her performance. She feels it.

I'm also not crazy about "Last Name" and I wasn't a fan of BHC either. But she sounded absolutely beautiful on that duet with Brad.
