This morning has many newspapers on the band wagon praising Kellie!! It is so exciting to read!! I hope you all go and read them. One in particular thrilled me.....hahahahaha Ryan made the big time newspaper, but not in a good way. Poor Ryan......

"American Idol" (Fox) Did anyone else catch Ryan Seacrest making a plastic surgery jab at this week's performer and former "Idol" contestant Kellie Pickler? When he introduced the perky blond he said that she's "grown in so many ways," then waited for the laughs that never came. Because come on, dude. Are we really still making jokes about Pickler's boob job? That's so 2007.

Is it just me, or is the stupid Kellie Pickler no longer stupid?

This chick kinda, sorta looked like Kellie Pickler, but I don’t believe it was really her on Wednesday’s American Idol.

Check out around 4:05 when Kellie gives Randy Jackson a pseudo-lap dance.

ughh I wish people would just ignore it. The focus should be on her performance, not Ryan's stupid remarks.

It's a whole lot better when people are criticizing the one who made the remark rather than chuckling along with him. They are noticing her performance. The title of one group of posts was "Sorry Seacrest. You're the boob..."

If I were to give him the benefit of a doubt, it's possible that he longs to recreate the amusing banter they had on Season 5...

... But that was two years ago and the girl who had never been on an airplane is now well traveled, has flown to Iraq, and hopped from place to place in Blackhawk helicopters.

It should have occurred to him that what worked back then with a nineteen year old rollerskating waitress isn't going to play the same with a successful twenty-one year old country music star.

This just really gets me steamed. Because of Ryan's big mouth, this has become controversial again. Instead of all the attention being about Kellie's superlative performance, which it should be, some of the comments refer back to what he alluded to last year, all because he couldn't resist digging at Kellie again.

It is better that people are criticizing Ryan, but it would be even better if they were praising Kellie. Why people tend to get caught up in the little things so that they miss the big picture is beyond me. Kellie gave a great performance an the person could have spent the time praising her performance, not mentioning Ryan's remark. It takes the attention away from where it deserves to be.

Ron, I really think you have hit the nail on the head, so to speak.

Kellie is learning fast and the people who are expecting to see the amusing but befuddled country bumpkin of 2006 who didn't know what a song key was ("I thought they were talking about the keys on a piano!"), seem to be bewildered (note Philly burb comment above) when they find a polished country artist who is learning fast about the world around her.

And I am going to bury a bit of gossip in this thread about how Kellie may also be maturing in her personal life (and I admit it must be considered a rumor at this point) so that only the die hard Kellie fans are likely to see it, as I would never start a thread on this subject. My insider info from Nashville tells me that Kellie and #22 have finally called it quits and are no longer seeing each other as "friends." Not sure who bailed out and it doesn't matter. Kellie is moving on.

My preference would that there be no additional posts in this thread on this rumor (because there is no more info at this time and to comment would serve no purpose), just read it, smile, and tuck it away for future reference.

Right Bob. Kellie is a quick study and has refined her craft constantly.

As we discussed in Biloxi, one of the things that impressed us long ago is that Kellie offered up "I butchered it" when Randy asked how she did with one song on AI. The song was good, but she was dissatisfied because it wasn't perfect.

She shines evermore brightly because she is inspired to polish.

Nobody thought Ryan's "off the cuff" comment was funny. Just finished watching Kellie's performance again. She is absolutely amazing....in front of approximately 32 million people. People will remember HER for her talent and if they caught Ryan's remark, will remember him for his rudeness....this is fair.

Kellie won a lot of new fans with her performance and changed the image that some had of her...Look for measurable increase in attention of all kind for Kellie...
