Kellie Pickler searches for Dolly

Kellie Pickler is known for being punctual and dependable, so when she was more than 20 minutes late to an interview Monday afternoon, everyone wondered where she was. Kellie tells Dial-Global that she had a good reason for keeping folks waiting. As she drove by her idol Dolly Parton's office, she had a feeling Dolly might just be there. So she did what any true Dolly fan would do, she got past the gate and went inside:
"We walked through this whole big building and there's nobody in there," she says. "I'm thinking, 'Gosh, I hope there's no cameras, or it'll be on the news tonight that Kellie Pickler broke into Dolly Parton's office.' We walked into a dressing room, so I go and sit on the chair like, 'I sat in the same chair Dolly sat in.' We go in this recording room, and I'm like?'hmm, I probably talked in the same mic as Dolly.'"
Eventually, someone in the office caught up with Kellie's group. "So we stopped and talked to him for a little while," she says, "and I explained that I was obsessed with Dolly. He said, 'Well, she's not in right now. She's out working.' So I told him to tell her I said hello and we're big fans. So, that's why I was late 'cause I thought Dolly was there, and I had to go see."
