Certainly a big day for Idol record award certifications. Thanks to James Pegram and Idol Junkies for the tip that Kellie was presented a gold record award by Rosie O'Donnell on The View today. (The official announcement is forthcoming.)
Kellie's RIAA certification is less of a stretch than Taylor's. Kellie has sold 372,000 copies of her debut album, so she needs just 128,000 to reach 500,000. (Although if she maintains her present sales rate, it's going to take about 15 weeks. But the first single's still doing well and a second one may help, too.)

I AM Very suprised and happy for Kellie!! I was there at The View Today when Rosie suprised her with the record!! I am so proud of My Picker she was positively beaming when she got the award!!!! I really think she had no idea!!

Well i didnt have tickets for the show, they give them out like a year in advance. I had to try and get in off of standby. Last time, at the Today Show I met kellie and i didn't bring a gift. Today, I Didn't meet kellie, but I brought a gift and I THINK she got the gifts.(=0) I left at 6:00 this morning From Staten Island and its a good thing i did. I was number 18 on the standby list when i got at abc studios at 830 and stood and waited 2 hours outdside to see if they would have an open seat for me. NO JOKE I was THEE LAST Person let in the building! I sat in the very top row AND I Had the 1st seat in the aisle so i was noticeable. As soon as kellie sat down she looked right up at me and gave me a big smile. She might really have remembered me.
Now when I asked if I could give Kellie her gifts when i walked in the building, the audience warm up guide said he wasn't sure if he even could be able to, but he took down my name and the bag. I got Kellie a pink Teddy Bear(THANKS AMANDA!!), A Dolly Parton Clock, a Silver Butterfly necklace, and a big photo of the picture Kellie and I took together! I saw my present hanging out by the cameras the entire show so i was a little worried. Right before the end of the show I asked the guide if he gave her the gift and he said he wouldn't forget...He went up to Kellie with the bag and Kellie pointed to put it in the back room...she immediately looked at me as if she knew it was me who gave her the gift and gave me a nice big smile and wave! So as long as kellie went into her dressing room Im pretty sure she got it! Just as I was the only Kellie fan there at the Today show, I was the only one to give Kellie a gift today!
I am extremely lucky to have been there today because Kellie was presented with a gold record on the show and I was there to see it handed to her! In the letter I wrote, I even told her that I couldnt wait to see her hold up the gold record--- go figure!!! She was positively ecstatic and suprised. I Couldnt believe it and neither could she!!! Kellie was relatively quiet for the show, probably because Rosie was ranting about Simon's foul mouth antics the other night on Idol. In general, Kellie was quieter than usual, but I would be too if i was around those women HAHA!!
She was being interviewed by a few reporters after the show after so i couldn't say a word to her and no one could and there were no pictures with her ...but hopefully she got her things. im just lucky i got in!!!! I say if You combine the 2 times i was there for Kellie, i got it right!!!

tHANKS aUGUSTO, I am very lucky and I am very grateful for seeing Kellie twice...I think I am unofficially Kellie's number 1 supporter in my Big big city(=0)

Those are great gifts. You (and Amanda) put a lot of thought into getting her something different from all the shoes she must be getting.

I am very humbled and grateful for this.This is the one advantage of living in New York...all of these shows happen here...The only disadvantage is Im sure Kellie wont be coming around New York City once the tour rolls around with Brad Paisley...NYC is hardly the heartland! LOL Ill have to keep my fingers crossed.
