GAC Q: I was wondering why we do not hear more about Kellie Pickler?
Q: I was wondering why we do not hear more about Kellie Pickler? Her CD is wonderful. I believe she will do really well in 2007. How can a new artist get started if no one gives her the attention she has worked hard to get?

A: Donna, you’ve kind of answered part of your question. I think Kellie Pickler’s breakout year will be 2007. She received lots of attention as she launched her solo career in 2006, but all the attention in the world won’t matter if Kellie doesn’t score hit songs from that album you like. It’s extremely hard to break into the recording industry no matter what. Kellie has the advantage of coming to Nashville with all that attention she received on American Idol, but it’s not an advantage if she doesn’t get the music right in the studio — or have hit songs from her CD.

Well he did say "I think Kellie Pickler’s breakout year will be 2007." My take on the "if" part is that the author might not be a Kellie fan. However she got the music right and I'm pretty sure there will be more and bigger hit songs! If not it will truly be an injustice!
Who are we comparing Kellie to? If he is thinking of other Idols, then who of the finalists: 1 - Have had a hit single. 2 - has a great album that will yield more great singles. 3 - Has done a very popular music video ( and will do more) 4 -Will be touring 40 -50 cities this year. Has more TV appearances than any other Idol. 5 - Will have her own TV sitcom on Fox in 2007 ? CAN YOU ADD SOME MORE THINGS TO THIS LIST ? Oh.... and who makes me SMILE everytime I see her !
Brad Paisley thought enough of Kellie to ask her to come on tour with him this summer so I think things are looking good. Just have to give things time to develope.

I think Chris will be the standout of AI5 with kellie second. Daughtry is going to be up there with Clarkson and Underwood in the music dept. Howeve I think Kellie will make it big on TV.

I think Kellie will make it big in music, TV, and maybe even movies. Kellie's, Chris' and Carrie's CDs are equally great, however since Kellie didn't have the huge sales advantage/boost of winning AI her CD sales probably won't be as big as Carrie's. Daughtry is in a bigger selling genre so he didn't need to win AI to sell big, similar to Nickelback. Carrie's album is also closer to pop/rock than Kellie's. Kellie's has more pure country and country/rock songs.
