Fantasia, Kellie make crossover moves
Some good news for Idols on the national radio audience airplay chart used by USA TODAY and compiled by Nielsen BDS and Arbitron, with Radio & Records. It's an all-format chart, and a tough one to make headway on generally, but Fantasia's Hood Boy made a strong debut this week at No. 80. It's her fourth record to make the chart, following Truth Is (peaked at No. 12), Free Yourself (15) and Baby Mama (47).
Meanwhile, Kellie also collected enough country airplay to make the big chart at 96. Other Idols on the chart: Carrie's Before He Cheats dropped from 29 to 32; Daughtry's It's Not Over had an excellent week, moving 61-48 and gaining 21.6% in total audience; Ruben's Change Me inched up from 91 to 90 but lost audience; and Kelly's Because of You celebrated its 66th week on the chart, dropping from 89 to 99.
