Country newcomer Kellie Pickler has discovered there's one competition more brutal than American Idol: pro hockey. After singing to Clemson and Kentucky fans at Legends on Friday, she attended her first hockey game Saturday and afterward joined Predators Jordin Tootoo and Scottie Upshall at the Tin Roof.
Told to do a handstand to cure her hiccups, she kicked up her red high heels over her head. A pretend hockey fight broke out and Kellie, 20, ended up at the bottom of the pile. The melee left a knot on her forehead that remains. At least she still has all of her teeth.
OK, I know that Ky and Clemson played in the Music City Bowl on Friday. Does this indicate that Kellie had a performance at one of the local venues Friday night? Would have been nice to know about this before it happened. Maybe it was an impromptu performance.
Kellie doing handstands at a bar with a bunch of hockey players? Man, that must have been a sight. Sounds like Kellie is fitting right in with the Nashville "in crowd".
Legends is a very famous "Honky Tonk" in Nasville. I would love to know if Kellie had a scheduled performance there Friday Night.
Anyone Know? I looked on their website but the "music roster" was not working.
The Tin Roof is also a well known Nashville night spot. Both of these are bars, so I wonder how Kellie got it, being only 20. I guess these places let underaged patrons come in and card them only when ordering drinks.
It was a confusing tid bit in the Nashville gossip column. Didn't really explain a lot about how Kellie got from a hand stand to the bottom of a pile of Nashville hockey players....but the image is hysterical. Leave it to Kellie to get into something like this. Can you imagine the other patrons in the bar witnessing this?
I remember Will saying in a magazine article that when they went out with friends, Kellie kept everyone "rolling on the floor" with laughter by her antics, funny sayings, and general hilarious behavior. He said she was always the life of the party.
