I don't see Kellie ending up another Kim Caldwell, who I think could be the worst interviewer on TV today. But Kellie's Leno appearance wasn't a traditional red carpet interview like on
Idol Tonight -- where you're looking for some insight from the stars.
Kellie on Leno was pure comedy from the get-go.
I think Kellie did a great job -- it was funny from beginning to end. She interacted well with the celebrities, and you can tell they were having fun, too.
At this point, her singing career is limited to what 19 management wants -- which is next to nothing -- until the tour ends.
I've seen overwhelmingly positive response to this Leno segment, even in some unexpected places, so I think it was a great opportunity for her to get more publicity.
I think Taylor Hicks is the only other Idol finalist that will make a return appearance on Leno before the tour begins. Kellie is doing great, I think.
