Kellie on Fox News Edge in a few minutes

If you're in the Charlotte area, they just announced that Kellie will be on Fox News Edige tonight on Charlotte's Fox station. They have a reporter out in Hollywood.

Sorry I posted this so late. I just saw it.

I will tape it and give a report. Sorry I still have no way to do a cap.

I have to get something to cap this stuff with.

This is going to sound really dull but it was very cute. Kellie looked great. It was way too short; she essentially answered three questions.

-- She talked about her hair. It sounded like she didn't go to her hair dresser with the idea of cutting her hair short, but got the idea sitting in the chair.

She said she was talking to her hair dresser, who had taken most of her extensions out, and was playing with her hair. She lifted her hair back, let some of the shorter pieces fall, and that that's when it hit her -- what would it looked like if it was all that length?

So she and her hair dresser decided that would be a good look, something different, for the finale and went for it.

-- She said that her life has changed completely from her days at Sonic.

"Nobody cared who I was, all they wanted was their food. Now I'm on the No. 1 show in the world and singing on the American Idol stage. My life's done a complete one-eighty. But it's been the best life-changing experience ever."

-- She said the hardest thing for her this season was seeing some of the criticisms leveled at her in the media, but that she knew she had to take the bad with the good.

They also had Bucky on right before Kellie. He said he didn't know before he went on Idol how big it was, because he had only watched a few episodes. And that he spent a few weeks in Nashville after getting the boot and expects to have an album out as soon as he's able.

They talked to Chris Daughtry, who indicated he felt like a prize fighter who's been built up by his corner to believe he's going to win and then gets knocked out. But he sounded pretty positive about the whole experience and said he had gone further than he thought he could when he entered.

The show repeats at 2:30 a.m. if anyone's still up.

Beth Troutman, who normally does a morning show, said she plans to have more on the three N.C. Idols during the week, so I'll try to keep my VCR ready to go.

I think so. It's a local show that airs after the 10 p.m. news on WCCB in Charlotte, hosted by two Charlotte area radio personalities -- Matt and Ramona.

I suppose it's possible that the interviews will be picked up by other Fox stations, but I don't know.

They repeated the interviews on Fox News Rising this morning. The Charlotte reporter, Beth Troutman, was out in L.A. at the Kodak Theater this morning at 2:30 a.m. Pacific Time, where the only other people awake were crews working on the set for tonight's show.

She said that Kellie and Bucky both came across unaffected by all the AI hoopla, and seemed just as genuine as they would if they were still back in Albemarle or Rockingham, respectively. She mentioned that they would be seen in group numbers Wednesday night, but offered nothing more on that.

Interesting exchange later in the show.

Troutman mentioned that Kellie had been compared to Jessica Simpson.

One of the co-hosts back in Charlotte made a joke saying that we might soon hear Kellie asking why the tuna was called "Chicken of the Sea." Troutman played along with the joke at first, and said something like "We can expect to hear that out of Kellie Pickler's mouth any day now."

But the weatherman/co-host back in Charlotte (Malachi Rodgers) jumped in and said something like "I don't think so. Kellie is pretty smart. She plays very well as far as knowing what her strengths are. I think she would avoid that kind of foolishness."

Then Troutman decided that Rodgers was right.

"I think that's absolutely right. She does have comedic timing that's beyond her years. I mean, she's only 19 years old. Even though shes does have a bit of a naivete, she does have comedic timing. And I think that requires some intelligence, don't you think?"

I wanted to buy a TV tuner card in Circuit City just a few days ago, but they were out of the ones they had on sale, so I am going to read up on them a bit more before spending any money.
