You go girl
My husband and I saw Kellie in Oakboro,NC at the Music Hall. She was performing there along with Rhonda Vincent.
She was competing for Miss North Carolina representing Stanly County.
My husband and I had not been residents of the area for very long but knew when we saw her she would go far.
I didn't actually get to talk to her but felt that if we had conversed it would have been a very pleasant conversation. She excudes caring and I am pleased to see that with all the adversity in her life she has done well.
I read her story in Guideposts and I am very happy that she had good grandparents and did not carry a lot of anger with her.
Kelly if you read this I hope you know a lot of people understand and agree with you. How could your mother have left you in such a dangerous situation? I am glad that your grandparents could step in. I am sorry you lost your"ANGEL" so soon.
But,and I am sure you've heard this before she is just a little ways off and is there when you need her.
Also, I hope you will look up Jimmy Wayne. I know you have heard of him.
He is from Bessemer City NC. His story will make you really sad.
I guess my message is this. Know you are not alone and that you are not responsible for your mom or dad.
You are doing great and I am proud to know there are folks like you. Real.
So you go girl.
May God bless and keep you.
