Mrs. Pickler will NOT be sold to the public as the girl-next-door type, nor will she be the cute, innocent girl. Because that's what most of today's country singers are.

Yeah, it seems the bigger of a star Kellie comes the more revealing she dresses and the more sensual she poses. I don't think there's much wrong with that but if BNA is trying to change her than there is totally something wrong with that!
Well, I knew it was coming. Kellie tells us......remember, she said not too long ago, "I don't want to be a role model"....I thought I knew what she meant and these photos only prove it. Now, remember, guys, I am a grandmother and personally I am SO HAPPY AND EXCITED that our Kelliegirl has done this because....it proves she is her own person. I think Kellie will always stay true to herself...I was thinking recently about Shania Twain and how really sexy she is and then I said to myself, "our Kelliegirl could "hold her own" and she can. I am not shocked or surprised just SO GLAD she did not pose for Playboy....and I am not laughing because you never know what Kellie Dawn Pickler is going to do. Sensuality and sexiness have always been a part of Kellie...remember "naughty little minx"? It is just a part we have not seen....so, Thank You, Kellie....it just must be tough being so beautiful......We Love You....
I don't think we have to worry about BNA manipulating Kellie into doing anything she doesn't want to do. I think Kellie is probably very comfortable with these photos and they represent a totally natural, normal side of her that's always been there. After all, there's absolutely nothing wrong with these photos. They're beautiful and sensual, and in good taste.
And it's not like we haven't seen her in a bathing suit before. Remember this:
... and this:
Then there's her prom dress. In a recent interview -- I think when she performed at the high school -- someone asked her what her prom dress looked like. She said after her prom, the principal banned anything that looked like her prom dress.
Guys - our little Kellie is now 21 and is in show business - HELLO!!!
I love Kellies story, her personality, her spunk, etc. -- but as a guy I also noticed she is "drop-dead" gorgeous....... as in Shania, Dolly, Lorrie, etc.
I actually agree with you Franco. I'm not trying to be the typical male but Kellie is sexy. I think she should take full advantage of it and flaunt her sex appeal. I've always said if you've got it flaunt it lol. Its kind of like when Britney Spears entered the pop scene. She took the world by storm with her sex appeal and the guys loved her and bought her albums because she was hot. Sometimes a guy will buy a ladies album just because she is hot so I don't really see a problem going in this direction. Some say it may turn off the younger audience but I don't think so... Britney's fans were tons of teenage girls. Men of country music flaunt their sex appeal in almost every video these days but there is very little coming from the women because they are scared of what they might be labeled but I say if you want to flaunt it then more power to you.

yes, there is nothing wrong with her pictures, she looks beautiful .
I say WTG Kel !

I was a big Kellie fan when she was on AI - I was in tears when I learned about her story because I had also grown up in a dysfunctional environment and Kellie reminds me of my younger sister who had so much singing talent, but never had the chance to excel (she passed 2 years ago due to cancer).
I did not buy STG when it came out because I felt it was a teenager CD - sorry!!!!!
I love it today..............
The point - a mature Kellie will sell tons more CD's
Oh yes, see many of you next Friday in Charlotte on Speed Street. I will be the one with tears in my eyes.......
Short of posing nude, taking drugs or committing crime, I don’t really care what image Kellie projects as long as it is 100% her choice, though I kinda liked her STG image. She's now a big city woman (BCW) and her image and music should reflect that somewhat. I just hope this isn’t an idea of BNA’s to avoid actually investing money in Kellie’s music and its marketing. It is much more important that BNA spends a considerably bigger budget on her music than they have in the past – particularly the song writing, videos and their roll-out to radio and public awareness in general.
Kellie has proved with her own song writing and her connection to the listening public with her co-writes, videos, performances and now awards that she deserves a budget increase. (I agree with others that BNA didn't see the last of these coming.) Unfortunately, I don’t see it really happening as SonyBMG are still in a consolidation and restructuring phase financially speaking. In my experience, companies in such a state tend to cut back on the risky “research and development” in order to finance the more certain “cash-cows.” I’m sure you can put your own artists’ names in the appropriate category. Being a new company, Big Machine had no choice but to put significant investment into their "R&D," who was Taylor S and now she is their cash-cow.
I notice adverts for Taylor’s new single and its May release date have started appearing all over the online industry sites and I wonder why there is no mention of Kellie’s corresponding release date in May (I believe?). Are BNA holding back to gauge the song’s response at the ACMs. If not, what are they waiting for?

Reason: restructured and added a little

Taylor's single is released to radio in 3 days. Kellie's won't be out until June. An exact date hasn't been announced, but it definitely won't be until June.

Thanks, I was just going by what I had seen "mentioned" here in the past, but it is still not listed on any industry future releases lists I have seen, which I would have thought it should have been by now.
Nashville Scene is a free magazine focusing on entertainment, social commentary and lifestyle. It's been years since I've seen one, but I think the magazine is a lot like Creative Loafing, which I'm sure you've seen in Atlanta. It's aimed at 20- and 30somethings with an active social life.
Ah yes, Creative Loafing. I used to pick one up every week. I still do occasionally if I happen to see one when I'm out.
