Just went to the welcome board to say howdy....and also wanted to add a thought I've had recently.
Some of you may know me from the American Idol boards...or Bucky boards...but have been going "country" for a while now!!
Anyhoo, I had entered a song in last year's contest, which was very poorly produced. This year, I decided at the very last minute to whip up some lyrics. I also participate in a songwriting forum....and while everyone loved the lyrics, they didn't think there was ample time to put together a demo with all the bells and whistles. BUT, I was hooked up with a singer/songwriter out of Nashville, named Heather Cowles, who did a fantastic job with the melody and a guitar accompaniment.
I submitted it, but it was not chosen. I think because it did have a country flavor, PLUS, it was not the full production number most of the entries were.
SOOOO, since then I've been told that it would still be very pitch-worthy in Nashville....and I was thinking, hmmmm, the story suits Kellie really nicely. So I thought I'd bring it on over here to see what her tried and true fans think of it.
