CMT still doesn't understand

I rushed to CMT.com this morning, expecting to find Kellie all over the home page.

What did I find?

No Kellie.

You had to dig to find out she won more awards than anyone, won all she was nominated for, and beat Taylor (sorry Taylor) in the Nationwide Award.

When will they get it?

It's obvious from the fact that she only got a small satellite acceptance speech for one of the four awards she won that they underestimated her very seriously.

I can't beleive they still have Taylor's name spelled "Tayor" on the list of the winners page at cmt's site. Been that way since last night. The good news is though Kellie is mentioned on the frontpage of cnn, msnbc, and foxnews sites.

I said when it was announced that she wouldn't be there that this would happen. I've read a few reviews and blogs and it seems like this decision (for her not to show) is reflecting bad on her. Even though it wasn't her choice (and it seems by reading her bulletin that if she had a say in it she would have been there).
That all the big stars: Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, etc. showed but Kellie Pickler, who hasn't even had a Top 10 single yet and won her very first award was too busy to attend?

If she was there, it would've been her red carpet picture on all these news sites instead of Taylor's. I'm sad that this won't be the same career-changing night that it could have been.

. Kellie still managed to come out of the show as the most talked about star and she didn't even attend. That speaks volumes. CMT will get her up there somehow.

And all those others that you mentioned also performed. What we don't know is whether Kellie was invited to perform. That could have had an effect on the decision to attend or not.

Yeah, Robert, I did the same thing.....It was obvious to me CMT was promoting Sugarland in some of the categories they were in with Kellie. I thought perhaps they used the excuse of her not having a new video this year to ignore her as a performer or presenter......it's not they "don't get it" IMO, they just choose to get as much as they can out of "whoever" is having record breaking sales. CMT had a full page ad in Country Weekly about the awards and Kellie wasn't mentioned there either. The simple truth is: Kellie's fans have kept her going....kept her "visible" with PP wins with no current video out. Thank you CMT for even including IW on PP. We also request, request, request on media base to keep her "spins" up and I literally "wore my fingers off" for these awards which she deserves SO MUCH and MUCH MORE. Remember, Taylor asked her fans to vote for Kellie and I think the AI exposure and promo on their homepage helped her tremendously......I, mean 32M viewers is quite impressive. Really looking forward to Kellie's new music and hopefully she will receive better support from her label and management.

I see an article "Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler Are Top Winners at CMT Music Awards." Since Kellie wasn't there of course they don't have any photos of her there to put on CMT.com. They put Taylor's pic up because they have one of her holding and kissing her buckle. Tons of video, interviews, and photos are taken on the red carpet alone and I didn't want Kellie to miss any of that publicity. I hope Kellie's management gets photos taken with her 3 awards and issues them in a press release/interviews ASAP.

she need to get a start on her t.v. show. Look what it's done for Miley Cyrus. Did you see Parade magazine on Sunday? Miley makes about $15 million a year.
