OMG I cant belive it I am so excited I think Septemebr 9 is a verry good date and the singel will probably come out in May becouse TTNCMM will probably be on the charts till middel of April !!

well isn't this just a tentative release date? they might change it later on, i'm just glad we got a date period, so it's probably sometime in the fall then...

Yeah, it's tentative. 4 months is already a LONG time between single release and album release. No way are they pushing it back, but I could see them moving it up.
I actually saw the date on the Everything's Country site a week ago. But I waited to post it on here until another site confirmed it because it just seemed way too late. They've been saying late Summer/early Fall all along and that sounds more like late July or August to me. That would also fit better with when the single's released (May). Unless they push the new single back to June... |

Well STG was released at the end of October and it sold very well during the Christmas Holiday. I don't think it will diminish her sales to release it earlier. If anything, she'll have an increasing momentum.

I'm sure there are advantages to being released on Black Friday. You get cheap prices, lots of stock, and prime display space.
But her label can still sell a lot that week by lowering the price, buying some display space in Best Buy and Circuit City, offering some extras, etc., etc., etc. -- all the things that you and others have suggested and/or seen done for other artists.
Regardless, I'm looking forward to 09/09/08. |
