Thanks so much Sarah for keeping these new songs so organized! I'm SO sorry I didnt take a video of her performing "you can do better than that". I regret so bad not recording it!

In all the interviews this past week, Kellie says the album will be out "late summer". That's more like August. I was unsure of the September 9th release date to begin with, but I'm even more so now.
She's not even saying "late summer/early fall" anymore, like she was a month or so ago.

Maybe it is September 9th after all. Even though Kellie keeps saying "late summer", her label still says "early fall"--like they did in the press release for DYKYB. I guess that fits with early September.
But either way, the date's only tentative at this point. It still months away. Remember, STG was originally slated to be released November 14. I think it'll depend on when the tv appearances are to promote the cd and what her competition is that week. Which is hard to tell right now.

I'm thinking, i'm glad they are leaving out "Somebody to love Me" off her album. I find it a little negative. In fact i hope Kellie & her label would put a few more upbeat tracks, like "Ur beautiful". Talking about that, am really furious with that news about Nigel Lithgowe running off his big fat mouth talking about Kellie going under the knife. He made it sound like she did. Seems to me like it's a very bad time for him to do so esp with the launch of this new single.  |

CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL: COUNTRY'S NIGHT TO ROCK" ON ABC
This is 1 of the 4 biggest country music TV shows of the year and it's interesting that it airs on Sept. 8th, 1 day before the album release date, which is probably one or the main reason why they apparently chose Sept. 9th for the album date. I guess ABC will air her DYKYB performance.  If this is the case, I hope the label will arrange to run a major ad to promote the album release during the CMA Fest show or CMA Awards like was done on the 2007 CMA Awards to promote the release of Taylor's and Carrie's new Target albums.  First they need to arrange for exclusive Target and Walmart bonus tracks and DVD. This type of great in-store promo along with big shipments, low prices, top 5 airplay, and internet ads can't be beat for increasing and maximizing sales! The timing of the CMA Awards show might be better for a big TV ad since it's during Christmas shopping season. However it's critical to maximize sales album release week and for Christmas shopping.

On one hand, I'm kind of sad because I think Kellie's a much better singer - but on the other hand.. Taylor would give the song mass exposure that Kellie needs right now to boost her career. I think it will be a great idea to have them duet together.
