Great job, Sarah! Thanks so much for keeping us apprise. Kellie's sophomore is pretty different from STG and at the same time seems like a natural progression of Kellie as a person/artist. I have a very good feeling for this album. In fact i'm thinking that opening Taylor Swift might not be such a bad idea, if her audience are as teeny boppers i think they are. Lots of materials she can sing to appeal to Taylor's audience.
I'll summarize my observations as follows:
1) materials so far i believe does appeal to a broad cross-section of pp.
2) Strong appeal to the young as well, Rocks for instance is very naughty and i'm sure at some point the younger pp might have harbor tots like those. LOL!
3) Pop/Rock sounding. I think huge cross-over possibilities.
4) In fact i think she should titled her album just "Best Days". It seems to encapsulate aspects of a young girls life.
So far Kellie is opening just 1 concert for Taylor. Taylor is about to start a big 30 show summer tour with Rascal Flatts and Kellie has a bunch of concerts lined up.
I agree about the material. These songs have broad crossover appeal, just haven't seen any crossover promo yet. (fingers crossed)
Best Days would be a great album title! I think it's the only one of these six songs Kellie has said for certain will be on the album. I'm really hoping she records a bunch of extra songs and videos for exclusive Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and itunes bonuses. Live concert songs and videos and acoustic songs make great bonuses!
1 concert for TS huh? Hummph. Now i'm thinking maybe she should do more. LOL!
I think she has started promoting it already. I think her sophomore album should do great. I think she should sing Best Days at the ACM. It has a broader demographic appeal, i think. She should definitely drop her new release at the ACM, whatever it might be, just one with "mature" appeal. Great promo opportunity. I think. Altho i'm torn about the demographics she should REALLY target at, with her first release. I keep thinking a song targetting at the younger crowd, maybe even the Hannah Montana catchment. So,,,

She should at least record it and put it as a bonus track. The song is awesome and she sings it flawlessly.
Here are the lyrics I got for "One Last Time". Even though she sounds like Chewbacca in parts because of the bass lol, it's still pretty easy to tell what she's singing from the video.

I haven't heard all the songs yet, I am just starting to watch the "Rocks Instead Of Rice" video, but I would be so sad if they didn't put "Somebody To Love Me" on the album. It's been one of my all time favorite songs since I first saw the video of Kellie singing it .. it's very personal for me, I really hope she records it!!
But other than that, I'm loving everything I am hearing so far, and can not WAIT for the new CD!

I would love Kellie to debut her single at the ACMs, however Sugarland is doing the same, and I'm not sure that two country singers would debut their new single especially off a new, upcoming album at the same award show.

Awww! I hope she'll do that one. I love that song. It's very personal to me and I cry sometimes listening to it.
I really want to see Kellie live again and hear her sing some new material, I've been to three concerts, and she hasn't sang any new songs!
