One thing I have learned about Kellie Dawn Pickler's fans....they are loyal, smart, and committed about her success....SO...it seems the situation is this: No more singles from STG.....no video for TTNCAMM....really, not very many tv appearances....and no new cd until at least fall....THIS is reality...my question is , "What Can We Do?".....we know calling or writing the label or her management does NO GOOD...been there, done that...but, hey guys, we are smart....When ANY poll comes along Kellie's fans jump right in to insure if at all possible she wins....that takes time....if she is on power pick (sometimes we don't even know ahead of time)....she wins most of the time and by a really good margin....WE all the "right stuff" but need someone to come up with a really good plan....like all fans calling one radio station on the same day to request her songs.....the next day another station with all fans calling....etc.....OR all fans writing letters to her management or label....I remember when some sitcom on TV was going to be cancelled and all the fans sent some kind of "funky" gift to the network...anyway, got the sitcom renewed. Just need someone to come up with something great......Kellie just CAN'T go by months and months "out of sight".......the answer may be in the "law of large numbers" and I know for sure the answer is in Kellie's fans.
she's got 46 concert performances lined up so far for this year (counting today's in Manchester). Make these known to whoever you can when the dates come up.
Kasey, Definitely one of Kellie's BIGGEST fans EVER!

I do like to think we CAN do something.
I don't have a quick answer, but won't give up.
I also wonder if maybe the best thing we can do is to start lobbying another label to try to steal her away from Sony BMG once her contract with them ends.
I post a comment on any Blogs on Kellie i know of. Or mentions her in any related blogs i came across. Anything to put Kellie Pickler's name out there.

OH, man. I forgot about that.
As I remember, NASA pulled strings and got that pulled because that was about the time that the diapered astro-nut was making headlines.
I think it's safe to air that now. I would love to see that.
MAYBE WE ALL COULD EMAIL THE TONIGHT SHOW AND TRY TO GET THEM TO RUN THE " KELLIE ASTRNAUT SKIT" !

I for one think we all do what we can, when we can. IMO writing her label might not be a good idea. I look at it as, they gave her a contract whereas others who finished below 2nd place in other years, got nothing. I don't try to figure the whys out anymore, it can drive you crazy. We vote, request, go to concerts, buy her cd's, etc. I think if we hound her label, there might be a backlash. There are other young women out there just waiting to take her contract. We need to have faith in Kellie's decisions. She appears happy with life and we need to support her in those decisions. Every other artist that tried to buck their label, got dropped like a hot potatoe and didn't get another contract with another label. I would rather have Kellie with minimal sales than no cd sales at all.

Great idea!
I had forgotten about that, too.
Yes!, we need to send them e-mails, letters, faxes.
I'll get mine rolling, tonight.

Yes Greta, it's a tough line to toe. Problem is pp get dropped when their cd sales are low. It can happen to Kellie too. We really dont know how many who bought STG are her trueblue fans who would always buy her cds (new ones as well) and attend all her concerts. Personally i tend to be with Chris (chriskelliefan). I think it's good to mention that she doesnt get the promos she needed to go higher on the charts. Just look at Kelly C. She stood her ground with her own music vision which unfortunately didn't jive with Clive Davis,,, i gathered she didnt get the sort of promos she would have if she had followed his lead. Her 3rd cd only netted 700,000 plus sales compared to the multi-plats of Breakaway. I do need to add that i think her 3rd album has too much shouting. Dont know if i'm right, it's just the impression i got. So, in this case, maybe Clive Davis is right.
I read some interesting posts on that "Ruben got dropped" thread on AI board, which incidentally had been deleted when it got busy with the dog fights, that, it can be tough when the artist is inexperienced and dont have a vision of their own but just follow the producer's lead. I guess, Kat McPhee comes to mind. I read that she couldn't get pass the demo tapes and kept remembering the way the songs were sung on them. I think her songs got impersonalised.
So did Kellie's album got "shelved" b/c it got too much of Kellie's imprint on it or b/c they (BNA) originally didn't believe STG would sell. It's really very confusing. I know, b/c i kept flip-flopping on my views in relation to the way it's being handled. All in, i think the (right) conclusion/opinion so far appeared to be STG didnt get as much promos as some of the multi-plats artists like Carrie U, Chris D and Taylor S.
I have mixed feelings on this topic. Of course I want to see Kellie reach the level that she deserves and of course there are tons of more things that BMG can do to pick of Kellie's sales... BUT I don't think hounding them is the best idea. They are getting her ALOT of t.v. appearances, which equals exposure. But they need to get more STG shipped so when Kellie does perform live people can go out and buy the album also I agree that the singles need better promo to radio's to make it to the number 1 position that they deserve. I think that having as many fans as possible calling the same station one day is a great idea or maybe we can have them call 3 or 4 different stations a day. Then the next day another 3 or 4.
Oh for sure, Lucas. Nothing like speaking up when it's needed. It's pertinent sometimes for survival b/c it's like putting out the armor to shield oneself. I'm for speaking out whenever it's necessary. Silence is not always golden when things may not be "right".
