Country Week. Very nice little advantage for Kellie. She is gonna tear it up next week. Bucky will probably do well too. I don't know why but I kind of get the feel that Taylor might pull off a country tune but I agree that many of the others might struggle with it. Either way Kellie should have a firm stranglehold on this contest after next week.  |

Well Kellie and Bucky will do good with next week, that is if they pick the RIGHT song!! I have heard Kellie sing in Oakboro, and she can really blow a Martina song well. I think Taylor will do good if he picks like Travis Tritt, or maybe even Kenny. Not too sure about Chris, I am sure he can sing but Not Country.

I'm glad Katharine should be able to do better next week too. I was not happy when it came down to her and Lisa. Chris is a awesome singer but I agree with the judges that he needs to show he can do another style. Kellie has the clear advantage next week. This is her chance to secure a position for weeks to come.

Martina McBride - Whatever You Say
GREAT song to show off her vocals. She'll probably perform last since a) She's already performed early twice and b) this is her theme. I'm sure that's where the producers will put her.
Like the judges said, you need to pick a song that either shows off your personality or your vocal skills. We already know her personality, so I think she needs to show off her vocals.
(But, she'll probably sing "Independence Day". Even though it won't show off her vocals as well.)

Mandy - those would all be good choices.
Stand By Your Man would be good too. Isn't that what she did on that Gimmie the Mic clip that somebody posted?
As for Taylor, I think he will do well with Country. He does a great Ray Charles and Ray had some songs on the country charts. Also Elvis might be a good choice for him (didn't In The Ghetto get some play on country stations? - if not there are tons of other Elvis songs to pick from, especially those later in his carreer were played alot of country stations) Charlie Pride songs would also be good, but i would really love to hear him sing some George Jones!
