"AMERICA SAYS GOODBYE TO MELISSA
After two hours of singing the amazing yet challenging songs of the legendary Stevie Wonder, American voted and said goodbye to Melissa.
Now, we look forward to the Top 11 Finalists tackling the songs of the ‘50s, Tuesday, starting at 8/7c. Then, on Wednesday, starting at 9/8c, come back for the results and a very special live performance by the legendary Barry Manilow."

I saw that on idolonfox. I believe Kellie will do Patsy Cline song from the 50's. All I know is she'll be great and will bring it. Is it a 2 hour show again?

cool, PatsyCline is perfect for her! And yes... thank goodness they won't be singing Barry's songs. No offense to anyone who is a fan, but his music puts me to sleep!

I was afraid they would say rock songs of the 50's but it just said songs of the 50's...That most certainly opens a big door for Kellie..She should be able
to pick out a great song with some up-tempo....Let me stress that Patsy Cline
though a great singer with some great songs had little in the way of up-tempo...Kellie needs something that she can get her personality and movement into....Lets do some more research and see just what we have to offer........

I look forward to her bouncing back this week.
I'm so happy it isn't Barry Manilow week.

Not a big Manilow fan. The word elevator music springs to mind.
Soooooo glad it's 50's.

Man I went on Google to search songs of the fifties and thought I would never get rid of...you guessed it....Barry Manilow's hits from the fifties"...not..
Although it is slow I think Patsy Cline's "She's got you" or maybe it was "I've Got your Picture" same song anyway...Kellie would sound good on this...She might have to pick a male song in order to get an up-tempo song..The ladies just had not broken into the scene must that early..Connie Francis was the biggest seller "Who's Sorry Now" was a good one but again slow tempo...
It will be interesting to see her choice..

So it is official next's week theme is 50's music? If so Kellie shouldnt have much of a problem with this theme as long as she picks the right song out but like people have been saying on here Patsy Cline would be alright for her to do or some other country western female singer!!!!

Once again, Patsy Cline only had 2 songs in the '50s, "Walkin' After Midnight" and "San Antonio Rose". And if she sings either of those, she'll get bad reviews from the judges again because they would be boring and safe for her. She needs to have fun next week, sing a really up-tempo rock song.

Maybe she should sing a up tempo song but aren't most 50's songs safe? I don't know too much about the 50's.
