The next week theme is rumored to be Barry Manilow. I don't know if this is true or not. Kellie and Taylor would do great with this also I think if it's true. What I wanna know if why are they doing all these male singer themes. First Stevie, Then Rod now I'm hearing about Barry. To me they seem to be doing themes that they think Taylor can do and nail. Are they pushing for him to win this? I kinda think they his one of their choices. I think it would be great if they do another theme like country, latin, and disco. Maybe a 80's or 90's theme or the song from the year you were born or 2000-2006 theme.

It's not just a rumor. Jrecords.com says that Barry Manilow will perform next Wednesday, which is the elimination show. Mandisa said in an interview that a 50's theme week is coming up and since Manilow has a 50's music cd coming out soon, next week is probably a 50's theme.
Same with Rod Stewart, April 19th (an elimination show), except American Standards.
Pretty sure. Which is a good thing because Kellie can sing a classic country song, which she said she really wanted to do. Maybe Patsy Cline? I think one of her songs would suit Kellie's voice really well, but she only had a couple from the '50s.

"Crazy" would be so perfect for her...or "Don't Worry"...or "Leavin' on Your Mind"...
The BETTER do a country night! If they don't.....then.....I will never watch the show again and only watch Nashville Star.

I would LOVE to hear her sing "I Fall To Pieces", but the only Patsy Cline song from the '50s is "Walkin' After Midnight" and it would be a pretty boring performance, I think, if she did that.
She said the other day that the song she would most love to sing that she hasn't yet is "Stand By Your Man" which I'm praying she doesn't do. I saw the video of her performing that on 'Gimme the Mike' and it didn't fit her voice at all! So, I hope somebody tells her that. Her voice is much better for Patsy Cline songs than Tammy Wynette or Loretta Lynn songs (which she also mentioned she'd like to do).
If next weeks theme will be 50's music,Kellie could sing a Patsy Cline
song or June Carter's Juke Box Blues.
I would be so thrilled if she chose that song.
Glad it's 50's week instead of Barry week. I read that on the idol boards and on a another website. Kellie will do great with Patsy Cline's Crazy. 50's Week Kellie will NAIL!!!

She can't do "Crazy" next week. "Walkin' After Midnight" and "Poor Man's Roses" are the only PC songs from the '50s. The rest are from the early '60s.
