Why Do People Hate Kellie?

ok... maybe this is just me... but I really can't take this anymore.

After her performance on Tuesday pretty much every single one of my friends decided to hate on her. Ok... so it wasn't the best she's ever sang but we've all heard her before... we know she can sing! But no, she gives one average performance and that's it, she's crap.

Then not only her voice, people are attacking HER... calling her a poor man's Carrie, wondering how anyone who dislikes Carrie could like Kellie since apparently Kellie sucks compared to Carrie, calling her fake, saying she cries too much, she's a liar because she says she hasn't performed in front of people but she has...

Has anyone else been encountering this?

My responses have pretty much been - she's NOT Carrie and isn't trying to be so stop saying that she sucks compared to Carrie. It drives me crazy that if Kellie's hair was brown or black or red NOBODY WOULD BE COMPARING HER TO CARRIE. I guarentee it. Not that I'm suggesting that Kellie dye her hair but seriously it's true.

Even the JUDGES commented on her sincerity and humbleness and YET she's "fake". I don't even KNOW what to say to that! Just how could anyone think that? Yes she talks about her father alot and I think she needs to ease up on it because people are accusing her of looking for pity votes. But at the same time you don't know how much the producers are pushing her on that angle... they show what they want to show and those bio clips sounded really rehearsed anyway.

As far as her crying... that's how she reacts when she's really happy.. what would you like her to do?

Apparently Kellie "lied" when she said she hasn't really performed because she's been in peagents and done local shows. I was like "have you BEEN to Stanly County? It's not New York City. It's not even Raleigh" (no offense to anyone who lives there!) my point was just that - hello kellie had never been on a plane before, she comes from a SMALL TOWN. Performing around her small town and performing on American Idol are entirely different. Compare this to Carrie Underwood who said something along the same lines yet had already released 3 demo CDs and headlined shows in Oklahoma and states around it. hmmmmm...

One of my friends even royally dissed y'all by calling you "worse than the Claymates" (hahahaha) that y'alls psychotic devotion is the only reason she's anywhere. As one myself, trust me, you're nowhere near as bad as the Claymates

So my point was just that if anyone else has encountered this and if so, how to deal with it?

I think people know Kellie is good and could be beat out their favorite. I think it is mainly jealous and know she's one of the best. They know she has ''it''.

People are dissing on Kellie alot, but I don't know why. She's nothing like Carrie, sure she has the same colour hair, big deal. So she sung a country song? Now she's Carrie? She could just as well be Faith Hill if your looking at it that way. And if Kellie talks about her father, there's nothing wrong with that, she's not hurting anyone, even if it for pity votes, Fantasia did the same thing I do beleive no one said she trying to get pity. She wasn't great, but she wasn't horrible, no better or worse than anyone else, but still Kellie's the worst I think alot of people want a guy to win this year so their dissing alot of the girls just so that things can be switched up. And did anyone see the guys? What a pathetic bunch...dear god.

To me Kellie Pickler isn't a Carrie Underwood I think she could be Miranda Lambert/Faith Hill. Maybe a Shania Twain.

Yeah. I have seen this sooo much. People hate Kellie because she's looking for "pity votes" from her sob story. Honestly, how many times has she mentioned the story? The only time she told it was before her audition. She mentions her dad every so often but hey, can you blame her? She's just telling it like it is. She's not trying to whine, etc. Kellie is great and humble and honest.
On the AI forums there are all these noob threads with conversations like:
'im so sick of hearing that sob story arent u shes trying to get pity votes'
'yeah iknow shes pretendng to be carrie but carries way better'
I'm so annoyed at those. As if they know what they're talking about. Kellie isn't like Carrie at all. If Kellie had brown hair they wouldn't be comparing. Also, I like Kellie's voice better than Carrie's. Why is everyone saying Carrie is so much better? I liked Carrie; she has a strong voice. But so does Kellie. Compared to Carrie, maybe Kellie isn't better, but she definitely has a great voice.

People are scared because they know that she has the "it" factor and they are running scared. She has something that no one else on that stage has and that's called gratitude...she is thankful to even be there....and that speaks volumes about her as a person....that's why I love her over everyone else...yeah, there's a ton of other talent but if you don't have gratitude, the likeable factor and humbleness....then all your left with is JUST TALENT and no personality......

I dont think people hate her, she isnt the best in the competition, she isnt any where near the talent of Carrie!! I just think people want someone to win for their talent not just personality! She is cute, funny, nice, she sings well but not the best. I think Kellie is more suited for Nashville Star, she really has a strong twang! Now Im not trying to bash her, I dont hate her, she just isnt my favorite and I have realized that in the last two weeks since I really heard everyone else sing. Sorry but its my opinion.

Being one of Kellie's hometown friends I support Kellie 11000000% and I hope you guys keep voting for her. I talked to her Wednesday afternoon and told her how great she is doing and how much support she has all across the country. Her performance Tuesday night wasn't the best she's ever done but it was still top 12 quality. She was nervous and my god can you blame her? She has over 30 million people scrutinizing her every move.... Sure Kellie talks alot about her family situation but if you know her, that's what she lives with every day. She lives with her grandfather and they are extremely close. Clyde is the person that has helped take care of her from almost day 1. Just to let you guys know, Kellie is so scared of being labelled as the country girl right now. She has the world on her shoulders and every decision she makes in Hollywood affects her chances of becoming the next American Idol. I can't say if she will sing country songs for the first three weeks or not because she hasn't decided. Just keep writing and giving your support. Even though Kellie can't get on and write you back, I will do my best to send all your love to her and let her know just how many fans she has! PICK PICKLER! AI 2006!
