Photoshop question, plz help me w/ this one!

What kind of "photoshops" do u reccommend?
out of JASC, and Adobe?

Hang in there Sammy I'm here! It depends on what you'd like to make. If you wanna make blinkies, for example, I would get JASC Paint shop pro. It usually comes in a bundle with JASC Animation Shop 3, for about $60 or so. If you wanna make wallpapers and avatars like I make, I would get Adobe Photoshop. You can find Adobe Photoshop Elements at Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more for under $100 if you get an older version. Or, if you're looking to make everything for a cheap price, I would go with JASC Paint shop pro. I hope this helps!

No, but I'd recommend Photoshop Elements because it's a lot cheaper than Photoshop 7 or CS2. Photoshop Elements is under $100, and the other versions cost around $200 or $300.

I just sent you a pm about this but I have Adobe photoshop elements 4.0. It was about $75. But what I have to do is go online and find like textures, brushes, patters etc. They don't have like any of those on there but they do have a lot of cool filters.

We'll I think I'm the only one that uses it but I made my set i'm using it. All the other graphics i've made are from the system too.

I don't think the new versions of Paint Shop Pro come with the animation program anymore. (I have an older version.) It's now owned by Corel, which bought JASC, by the way, too.

What I would suggest if you have time is to download trial versions of both programs and see which one you like best.

Thanx Mike, Heidi, and Jenn!! Guess what?? My uncle's new wife (well that may mean shes now my aunt, but whatever,)
she works 4 some tradeshow thingy, that always goes to Adobe stuff, and she said she can get me a FREE Adobe program! Should I get the new "CS2" (I think thats what its called) or the Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0??
