The BEST concert EVER!

Kellie, we saw you in Albany last night, and you were awesome! We were right in front, in the left pits! You gave my daughter and I a hi-5. She loves you for it! You had such great energy! Keep up the good work.

I give this show a two thumbs up, in my book, and then some. This was, literally, the best concert, ever, that I've ever gone too. The fans, the guys, everything was just awesome. Even though, I was running a bit late, during the day, it all panned out for us. Lizzy, I'm so proud of her. She did so good. The waiting, continuous standing, and the late night. What a great kid! She'll remember this forever. She's still talking about it, "HE TOUCHED ME!"
Anyway, Lizzy and I got in line just after 5. We met some awesome people in line that were a huge, huge help for us. They helped us get our pit passes when I left my licence in the car (and yes, ladies, that's right where it was, too...phew) Thank you so much for your help. We had an amazing time. We were right up in front of Joe Don. I got some incredible pictures. Tons that I just posted. OMG, tons of all three guys. We didn't get any attention from Gary at all. But, Lizzy (my daughter) was thrilled to get a high-5 from Kellie. A wave, smile & hand shake from Joe Done and a hand shake from Jay (and we weren't even on his side!). Awesome. Shank (the fiddler) was great, we saw a lot of him. He was fun.
Kellie Pickler was so much better than anticipated. Ya know, we heard her on the radio today, and both of us agreed she actually sounded better live! Her version of 9 to 5 (Dolly Parton) was excellent! During the beginning of the show, with her 6" heals on, she ended up losing the shoes. I think one of the shoes got caught in a hole on the stage. She covered it up great, though, and didn't miss a beat, and kept smiling. Great entertainer, I see her having a great music career in her near future.
I love the songs the guys sang, last night. I think we got a little more than some of you guys at the other shows. We got more songs from the SFG album, like No reigns/Bob That Head. What an unexpected surprise, after reading the other reviews. They encored was Still Feels Good, and of course, Life Is A Highway.
I was hoping Lizzy would've got pulled up stage. We tried as hard as we could by waving her hat in the air, everytime Gary walked by, but it didn't happen. However, the cute smile and little wave from Joe Don was enough to make us go wild and crazy! I can tell he's gonna make a heck of a daddy. We also got a hand shake from Jay DeMarcus, too. He's hysterical. He did really good with his, "I Feel Good". He really got into it.
Joe Don's guitar solo's included "Iron Man", the theme from Top Gun and a bit of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. All were excellent. Of course, we always melt when we hear him singing "Pieces." I got some video of that.
So, anyway, thanks again for the girls in line who stook by us and hung out with us, even in the end! I met another FAM/MySpace girl, Jodi! That was cool, she pointed me out and said hi. Hi Jodi! lol
Oh, and I recorded pieces of Joe Don's "Iron Man" guitar solo, just for Jim(he's a metal head and picks on me for being a RF fan).
It was an excellent show. I don't regret a thing about it! The only downfall about being in the pits, was, other than no chairs, it was hard to hear Kellie or Gary when they were talking. Everything else, including the people in the pits with us. Rascal Flatts fans are awesome!
Oh, so we get done, can't remember which way to get the car. I refused to pay the $20 parking fee to park in the Parking Garage. Around the corner, there was a $10 lot. That worked for me. It was right behind the arena (you can see it in the first pic). We saw some tour busses. Dont know who's was whos, but Lizzy was sooo excited. She kept looking for the guys. Anyway, I had forgotten how to get there. Thank God for Lizzy & her landmarks. She kept telling me, "Beaver St, mom!" She was right! Good girl.
I'm exhausted today. We stayed at my parents, last night, and drove home today. Got home about 2:30 and took over an hour nap! Wow! Lizzy kinda napped on the way home, too. I'm not as hurtin' as I thought I'd be. Thank God for mom's heating pad! lol
Anyway, here's to you, Rascal Flatts (yes I would've loved to hear that song, too, but, oh well)
