Saw my guys for the first time in 8 months (which is a long time for me) last Saturday at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, SC. I had VIPs through their fan club, which put me and my sister in row 6 seats. Two of my cousins came to the show with us and got my sister's VIP seats, which by total luck ended up being in row 5, same seat numbers as ours!
Anywho, on with the show... Kellie Pickler was the opener. It originally was supposed to be Jason Aldean, but he's taking a break to spend time with his new baby. She was better than I thought she would be. She sang 5-7 songs, of which I remember (not in order) "Red High Heels," "I Wonder," "Things That Never Cross A Man's Mind," "9 to 5," and a new song she wrote with Taylor Swift called "Best Days of Your Lies." She was suffering from a cold so she sounded a little stuffy, but otherwise she was fine. She avoided shaking hands with the crowd b/c she "was afraid she'd get snot on them."

She about had a wardrobe malfunction b/c she didn't have enough two-sided tape on her shirt. She came close to falling out a few times.

Overall I liked her, but I'm still as much a fan as I was before... I'll listen to her on the radio, but most likely won't be buying her album.
Now for my guys.... they've got a new stage since the last time I saw them. You'll see some good shots of it in the pics I took. There's several plasma screens at the back to show videos and what not. There's two pits built into the stage for select fan club members and randomly chosen audience members. There's a 2nd smaller round stage set up in the middle of the floor. The guys open from there, do an acoustic segment from there, and Gary starts their encore from there. They move to and from it via a "bridge" that is lowered from the ceiling when it's time for them to make the transition.
They sang (not in order, listed by album) "These Days," "I Melt," "You," "Feels Like Today," "Fast Cars and Freedom," "Bless the Broken Road," "Here's To You," "What Hurts the Most," "Me and My Gang," "Stand," "My Wish," "Pieces" (Joe Don), "To Make Her Love Me" (Jay), "Yes I Do," "Backwards," "He Ain't the Leavin' Kind" (which included a few lines from Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" ), "Life is a Highway," "Take Me There," "Winner At a Losing Game," "Still Feels Good." Also Jay sang a little bit of James Brown's "I Feel Good" (tie-in to the name of their new album) and Joe Don played "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on his electric guitar.
Some highlights... a friend of mine was in one of the pits. She had brought leis with her and got Gary's attention and leied him! Another one of my friends wrapped a feather boa around Joe Don's neck towards the end of the show, which he proudly wore until he left the stage. The guys honored Jim, their drummer, for being the only original member of their back-up band (2 of the original members were replaced, 2 more were later added on) and let Jim pick a song for them to do (which he chose "You" ). Gary forgot the words to "Backwards" at one point.

(Anyone who's heard that song knows that that is pretty easy to do) He walked over to Joe Don and sang the words with Joe Don facing him so that he could get back on track. He later joked about that song having way too many words and asked Jay what they were thinking when they recorded it. During "He Ain't the Leavin' Kind," they brought out on stage a few members of the US Marines and paid respect to them. During "Here's To You," Gary's gotten in the habit of breaking into a random dance when he sings the line "... and judging by the way she's dancing, I'd say she's had enough." He was on the bridge with his back to me when it came time for that. Let me tell you in all seriousness, that man can MOVE! I can't even describe what he did (kind of a grinding squat twist thing), but it was NICE. I actually got weak in the knees a bit, which previously has only happened when the guys have called me "darling" or "baby" during a meet and greet or blew me a kiss from the stage or something like that. Does Gary have a future on Dancing With The Stars? Time will tell!
All in all, I think this was the most entertaining RF show I've ever seen. They sounded FANTASTIC! The guys were all over the stage and seemed to be having a blast with the new music they were playing. I have just 2 small complaints... no songs played from their debut album and for it being the "Still Feels Good" tour, they sure played a lot "Me and My Gang" songs.
My pictures and videos are up! There's 167 pics and videos of....

BTW, this show was my 19th RF show. It also marked the 7-year anniversary of my 1st RF show (October 20, 2000).
I'm seeing them again in just over a week on 11/3 in West Palm Beach.
