My review, pictures, and videos of the Kellie/Sugarland show!

Let me just start off by saying I am SO excited that I can finally post a thread in this forum!

I went to go see Kellie and Sugarland in concert last night. It was my first country concert (besides Martina McBride’s Christmas show but that doesn’t really count…lol). It was amazing!!!

The show was an hour away and neither my friend nor I had been there before so my friend drove and I was in charge of the several copies of directions we had from several sites because they were all a bit different. haha
When we got off the highway we were both hungry so we stopped for lunch at Applebee’s…can’t go wrong there. We got back on the road and had to take the bypass. We get off at the exit according to Mapquest and we stopped and asked these 2 random guys on the side of the road and asked if they knew where the venue was and they had no idea.
We decided to go back closer to Applebee’s and on our way there we figured out where these outlets were that we had wanted to go to anyways (after stopping and asking at a gas station lol). So we shopped for about an hour at a Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, and Gap outlet. I bought a cute sweatshirt that was on sale from the Gap. We shopped for about an hour and decided to start heading over to the venue.

We got there at about 5:30 p.m. and found a parking spot. We got into the venue but the gates to all the seats were closed until 6:30 so we just walked around. First, I bought an autographed picture of Kellie. (We found out right before Kellie couldn’t sign because she had some scheduling issues to work out so she had pre-signed a bunch of pictures.) There was some people playing popular country songs…there was LOTS of food…a clothing booth…and then there was the merchandise booth for Kellie and Sugarland. My friend and I sat and hung out until we could go in. I had been wearing my red high heels all day. I hadn’t thought to bring an extra pair of shoes so I was about to die. Haha

We went right in at 6:30 and found our seats. We were in the front section to the left of the stage in the 19th row. We had really good seats!!! It seemed like forever until Kellie came on. The announcer came on and talked for a minute or 2 and then announced the “BNA recording artist…KELLIE PICKLERRRR!!!” Everyone went nuts…well my friend and I did anyways. haha

Kellie was wearing a really cute shirt, jeans, and of course her red high heels. She opened the show with Gotta Keep Moving. I don’t remember the exact order but she also sang One of the Guys, Walkin’ After Midnight, Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You, Small Town Girl, 9 to 5, My Angel, I Wonder, and Red High Heels. She was on for a good 40 minutes or so. Kellie even got a standing ovation after I Wonder and had tears streaming down her face. She definitely had an amazing night. I noticed that she’s improved her stage presence a lot since I saw her on the idol tour.

During intermission, my friend and I decided to get up and walk. I wanted to see if I could find Kellie’s bus so my friend came with me. One side of the stage was a VIP Lounge so I don’t think we were even allowed in there. lol On the other side there was a gate but there was a security guard and a cop standing right in front of it. They looked scary. I wanted to walk up to the gate just to see if I could see any buses but I like took a step towards it and they just gave me a serious look. I was scared so I didn’t go closer. There wasn’t any other place that I found where any buses were located…and since Kellie didn’t end up signing, I didn’t get to meet her but I was just glad to see her perform since I had missed her 2 other shows that I wanted to go to but couldn’t.

Then Sugarland came on about 15 minutes later. I love them (but not as much as Kellie)!!!! I love Jennifer’s voice. They put on a very entertaining show and they know how to work the stage and get the crowd going. They sang a bunch of their songs from Enjoy the Ride, including the more well-known Want To, Settlin’, and Everyday America (my favorite)! My other favorites from that CD are Country Line and Happy Ending. They also sang some of my other favorites, like Something More, Baby Girl, and Down in Mississippi.

We started to walk back to the car around 10 p.m. It was so dark and there were SO many cars already leaving. It was hard to see and we weren’t smart because we didn’t realize there were like 3 parking lots in the area we parked in. We asked this girl and she told us since we came in around 5:30, we would be in that parking lot. So we went to the one she pointed at and no luck. So she pointed to another one and again no luck. So then I told my friend that I thought we had parked farther. The only lights that were on were people’s headlights so we went to go ask the traffic director if there were any more parking lots and she pointed to one that wasn’t well marked and was barely visible. We go into that one and we FINALLY see it. My feet were killing me. 3.5 inch heels and dirt/rocks do not go together at ALL. We got into the car at 10:45. Then we took the long way home because we forgot to print out directions for the way home so we just followed the signs that we knew would take us home. I walked into my house around midnight and pretty much passed out. lol

Despite all the little detours and whatnot my friend and I took last night, I still had an amazing day/ night and it won’t be one that I’ll ever forget!

I'll post all the pictures that came out well (none of Kellie or Sugarland came out well because we weren't allowed to use the flash) and videos a little later tonight!

amazing review Amanda!!I was sooo upset that i couldnt go.yesturday was a horrible day for me i spent most of the day crying and watching tv and then a night i went to Canobie Lake Park and at 7:30 i was like she is preforming now so it wasnt much fun,but im soooooo glad you got to go and had an awesome time!!!I cant wait for pictures!!

I have to tell you for real i did not know we were not to use flash!!!lol I did , but my pictures didn't come out that great either!? I think it was the lights and all. They would not let us take pictures when we got to meet her either?If i have any pictures that you want that are better let me know and give me your e-mail and i will send them to you! I have some good pictures from her concert that i went to Friday night as well so let me know, k??Hope your feet are better, Friday i had been on my feet for over 13 hrs by the time we got back to the hotel and i thought i was going to die and i had sneakers on! I feel for you girl!! Isn't Kellie the cutest?? Man she is SMALL!! She is so sweet, my 12 yr old son almost had a heart attack because she called him hey baby come right here and hugs him!! It was funny!! I can't wait to see the pictures, they told me Tues, they should be up on Meadowbrook's web site you will have to check them out!!

Walking in 3.5 inch high heels all day doesn't sound a like it would be a lot of fun for your feet, lol! At least you dressed for the occassion, but it sucks that Kellie didn't get to see you in those

I wonder what her reaction would be, hmmm.

Anyway, thanks for the review! It must have been very anixous for you to have finally get to attend her concert before the year is over! I am glad you had a lot of fun!

It sounds like you guys need to carry a portable GPS for the next concert

They're not that expensive and a lot of phone carriers even have it on their phones nowadays. I have gotten lost many times when going on trips and wish I had a GPS. I am actually looking to buy one.
