Hey guys!!
I just got back from Nashville yesterday and I had a great time! Most of this isn't Kellie related but I will make the stuff that is bold so you can find it if you dont want to read the rest.
Tuesday:
We got to out hotel Tuesday morning. At 1 we had to be at the Acuff Theatre which is by the Opry to be at Carrie's fan club party. When we got there they had to check us in and we got food and drinks while we waited for them to open the doors to go inside. (It was all vegetarian, since she is) When we got inside they gave us tickets which they used to raffle off seats on the stage where some people got to sit. I didnt win though, but my seats were in the second row which were pretty good! Then Carrie came out and she sang all of her 4 singles and Alone, which she sang on Idol. Then she did some quick Q&A. After that she had to leave for a little bit to go reherse for the Opry. While she was gone some of the worker people there raffled off 2 tickets for the Opry that night, well not really raffled but they gave them to the people who came from the farthest away. When Carrie came back they lined everyone up and there was a little meet and greet. 5 people went up to the stage at a time and she took a picture with us!!! It was awesome
! Then after that the people that took our picture developed it and gave it to us, and we got a goodie bag
There was a signed poster, a frame for our picture, and a keychain. After the fan club party we went back to the car to put our stuff away and we walked back over to the Opry. It was a great show!! Porter Wagoner, Bill Anderson, Jimmy Wayne, Jimmy Dickens, Sugarland, Rodney Atkins, Craig Morgan, and Carrie all sang! When it ended we went over to Opry Mills, which is a mall across the street. We were going to get Ice Cream and on our way there we saw Carrie's one of Carrie's guitarists walking around with his wife and little girl!! After we got Ice Cream we went back to the hotel and went asleep.
Wensday:
We didn't really do much Wensday, since the CMA Fest didnt start until thursday. But around 2 my dad went to the Opry golfcourse and played all 18 holes, gosh was it boring, and HOT! When we left we went over the the opry hotel and took a boat ride, there was actually a little boat that went around the inside of the hotel! After that we went to get dinner and then we went back to the hotel to sleep.
Thursday:
I dont really remember everything we did but I can remember most of it. When we got downtown we parked and walked over to the Nashville Predators stadium to pick up our freebies. Then we went over to the convention center to see who was over there signing. I dont really remember everyone who was there but I got an autograph and a picture with Taylor Ware, and I got a ticket to meet Taylor Swift and Jack Ingram on Saturday. When we left there we went over to the celebrity softball challenge! It was sooo fun! Before it started people who were playing came out and signed autographs like Angela Hacker and her brother Zac, Vince Gill, and alot more people. I dont think that Carrie signed until afterwards. When it started Carrie's team was out in the field first. The game lasted for about 2 hrs I think and then everyone came out to sign again. Carrie did come out for a little bit but she onlyy stayed on the side her dugout was on, so I didnt get to meet her then. But I got some good pics and a pic with Angela Hacker. After that we got some lunch and I think we went over to Riverfront for a litte while to watch some people sing like Darryl Worley etc. We only stayed over there for a little bit and then went over to LP feild to get in line for the big concert at night. It started at 8 and Jason Michael Carroll, Trace Adkins, The Wreckers, Dierks Bently, Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, and Reba McEntire all sang! I got some great pics too! When Reba came out she sang a song and then KELLY CLARKSON came out and sang Because Of You with her! It was really reallyyy good! The concert ended at around 11:30 and then we went back to our hotel.
Friday:
Friday was fun, we went over to the convention center and I got some autographs, and we went over to Riverfront to watch some concerts. We pretty much repeated the same thing we did on Thurday, but we saw alot of different people. Around 1:30 it started storming a little and raining real hard so almost everyone went inside the convention center to wait until it stopped.Around 3 we left and I dont really remember what we did
. Then at about 5 we went over to LP feild to watch the big concert. Bucky, Montgomery Gentry, Sara Evans, Jason Aldean, Carrie, Little Big Town, and Sugarland all sang.
Saturday:
On Saturday we woke up real early to get in line to get a ticket for Carrie's booth at the convention center. There were probably about 100 people infront of us. Some people even camped outside! They opened the gates around 8:30 and then we had to wait another hour and a half to get inside the actual fan fair. Before we did people who worked there came out and told everyone the rules and then they opened the doors. Everyone ran in as FAST as they could, including me
and tried to get in line for a ticket to Carrie's booth. Thankfully we got one!! Since we had a ticket we didnt have to get back in line until around 11 since she was signing at 11:30. It was AMAZING!!!!!!! I got a picture with her and she signed my CD!!!!!!!
Afterwards we left, did some more stuff and went over to LP feild again. Angela Hacker, Jo De Messina, Billy Ray Cyrus, Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes, Josh Turner, and Martina McBride sang! I got some good pics of some of them too!
Sunday:
The last day at the fest
, but it was an awesome one!!!!!! I met Angela Hacker again, Taylor Swift, and Jack Ingram! Meeting Taylor was aweomse!!!!
When we were waiting in line her management gave her her award for her CD going platinum! It was cool and I got some pics! After that we went to Riverfront and then went to the Wild Horse Saloon for dinner. It was pretty good. Then ofcourse we went over to LP field again for the concert. I was excited because Kellie was singing that night! First Rodney sang. Then I got in line for Miranda Lamberts photoline to take some pics of her. After she sang I got in Kellies, while I was in line Billy Currington sang, but it wasnt bad because I was able to watch the big screen. Then Kellie sang, she did great as always! She did Red High Heels and I Wonder. After her, Taylor Swift, Big and Rich, Gretchen Wilson, and Brad Paisley sang. It was an awesome night!!!
That was one of the greatest trips ive had in a while and cant wait to go back next year!!
