I've seen Miranda live four times, she puts on one hell of a show. as does Kellie.
I don't understand why Ran is not a big as she is. Have you heard Ran's current single '' Gunpowder and Lead'' It's so good and that song should put Ran where she should be. When it comes to someone being original it is Miranda Lambert. I really don't get why Kellie's and Miranda's team don't do a good job representing them. Kellie's album should be platinum by now!
Does anyone know why they release songs but not videos? I think a music video has a lot to do with the single that is out.
Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert and Kellie Pickler share my heart!!
I like Carrie too, of course but I just think she is a little to manufactured for me? I dunno.

Miranda's fans have the same complaints we have about lack of promo, airplay, and single choices. I think Kellie's songs are more mainstream and radio friendly. Just 1 example, I'm guessing Small Town Girl would score a lot higher than Famous in a Small Town did on Hit Predictor, and Small Town Girl deserves to make top 5. It would be interesting to compare the scores of all of their singles. It seems that Sony BMG and radio stop promoting both Kellie's and Miranda's singles when they reach around #13.
To me, the fact that Kellie's album was certified and sold gold at retail so much sooner than Miranda's 1st (about 10 weeks vs. 9 months) just further confirms that Kellie's album should have gone and sold platinum by the end of 2007, not 2 years, if it were not underpromoted and undershipped. I don't think Kerosene has sold 1,000,000 at retail yet although I'm not sure.
Provided they get decent airtime I believe music videos help single, album and concert ticket sales and possibly help airplay (maybe some program directors take songs released with videos more seriously, I don't know). Plus videos keep fans excited, interested and voting for them. If music videos didn't help, why would anyone bother to make them? Taylor has a video for everything and I can tell her newest video was made to promote sales of the deluxe edition CD/DVD. CMT offers the album for sale on the video page CMT : Videos : Taylor Swift : I'm Only Me When I'm with You

Gunpowder and Lead is a great song and probably deserves to make top 5 or 10. It scored 81.5 on Hit Predictor, which is close to Kellie's highest scores (I Wonder and TTNCAMM). I'm guessing it's Miranda's highest or 2nd highest score. I think FIAST scored about 75, about the same as RHH.

The label says it's a cost issue. However any video even a home made or live performance is better than no video. I like Taylor's new video more than some professionally shot videos because it's more fun and real.

Good comparison.
I like Miranda, she's good, but I love Kellie better. Kellie got more exposure and has country music that appeals to all country fans. Miranda's appeals to only the rock/country fan (i.e. Gunpowder and Lead).

Have seen the "home edition" of Picture to Burn and it was HORRIBLE...really horrible...BUT it may not be the one released....It was just three girls getting together, singing, playing, etc. Probably when a professional video is released it will be really good. All of Taylor's as well as Kellie's have been terrific, so I don't see BM allowing the "homemade video" to be released....

No, she did a ''home made'' video for ''I'm only me...'' just to have something out while she gets ready to make the official vid for P2B.
Where did you see the home edition for P2B?

Carrie definately would have taken both "Kerosene" and "Famous in a Small Town" to number 1 but Taylor I don't think would have as much luck with "Kerosene" her voice just wouldn't sound right singing a song like that. Her voice is so sweet and innocent that song would just sound so odd coming from her.... now I think Taylor could have definately taken "FIAST" to number 1 though.
Country radio just doesn't appreciate the women. I think the only two ladies that have had consecutive top 10's in 2008/2007 have been Carrie and Taylor. I know Reba and Kelly went to number 2 and I'm not sure about Martina or Faith this year but I havn't heard alot from them this year. I don't think any other lady has made it in the top 10 since the end of 2006 but not to sure. The top 10 right now I think is filled in with Carrie, Taylor, and the other 8 are men. Not that I don't love the men of country music they just aren't as great as the women IMO. Men are dominating the charts.

Kellie's album reached gold much faster than Miranda's, but after achieving gold, it's taking longer for Kellie's to attain platinum. I hope STG becomes platinum before the end of this year. How many albums have to be sold before the total # shipped reaches one million? Am I correct in my understanding that to get platinum certification, 1 million cd's have to be shipped?
