If national average is down about 37%, then it seems STG sales slumped more than the average market level. That's sad.
Anyone has Taylor H total sales number same week? At idol board SPers were lumping his overseas sales with total scanned numbers. I guess at least BNA is working on a new cd for Kellie. I really hope they will pull out the works for her and give her the publicity she needs.
Looking at 3 big sellers, Kelly C, Ruben and Clay, it's worrisome isn't it? I'm just glad Kellie is continuing with her concert tour for 2008. I hear Clay is recording a new cd and that Kelly C is dropping another CD by end 2008. Interesting to see how these 2 albums would do sales-wise.

JAmy, Many Idols slumped similarly above the national rate.

Taylor's folder isn't only one over there where some people are doing some fuzzy math. In Kat's folder, I saw them comparing her single digital sales to other's physical CD sales a while back.
Kat's also going Indie, btw, if you haven't heard.
This is truly relief to my ears that she's reached 700k.
In order to get Kellie above that mark in sales,we will need to request more and hoping BNA will release "Small Town Girl" as the next single release.Crossing fingers!
There's a bunch of ChrisFans congratulating Kellie making 700,000 on idol board.
Indeed they are! I was there in their own room (Chris - General Discussion). True to their word, they've adopted well somwhat halfway: a Chris together with Kellie Avatar (a picture of the two standing together for a picture during AMA) and they thanked Kellie fans for our plans to honor Chris after the Grammys as they share their hopes for Kellie

I tot she was going with David Foster. Maybe that one didn't pan out. Personally i think she should stick to movies. Music is a tough business to be in. Look at the way Kellie works. At least Kellie has the country fairs to touch base with her fans, and also to build it up from grassroot level.
I'm not even sure Kat has as large a fanbase as her fans made it out to be. Sad, when the objective was to win the championship at all cost. I think she's probably in the same boat as Taylor. At least Kat is a beautiful girl, i think with the right material, she can be another J Hudson. I saw her on Ugly Betty. Altho it wasnt much of a talking role, she looked really good on that episode and her expressions were more than just adequate. She could do well there. I wish her luck.

Correct. As I mentioned about the voting issues, many Kat and Taylor fans used internet calling (Skype) to cast thousands of extra votes. Skype + broadband ISP = no busy signals and very fast redialing. Therefore their fan bases were smaller than perceived by many people.

Those fans of Chris are a wonderful group!
Yeah, they started wearing that avatar the day before Kellie was confirmed 700K. I wore that same avatar on that day when they announced that Chris won best rock song on People's Choice Awards. I think it's good they keep Kellie Top of Mind within their fanbase.

Seems like cd sales has corrected that misnomer. Her other problem is identifying genres. She seemed to do better with the classic ballads. Not sure about the viability of that genre in today's market. I think Jordin might have the same problem.
Did u notice that a lot of the successful artist within the pop genre has a particular "personality" or "image" type. Look at Rihanna (s/p??), Beyonce, Fergie. I think the nearest person within the idol alum with that image type is Kelly C. Maybe it's her latest album, she might be losing her grip there.
It's definitely heartening to see Kellie picking up fans from Chris D's camp. I use to find them so indifferent to Kellie. A handful seems quite supportive of Kellie.
I'm not sure i'm a Chris fan, but i certainly love his debut album. Home won a Best Rock Song award on People's Choice. However, "Daughtry" lost to Rascal Flatts as Best Group. The surprising thing was Carrie was absent there.
