Yeah that's awesome! Add some stats etc. and it could easily be part of a great airplay ad campaign in Country Aircheck.

Agreed Kellie was the STAR for the first two months or so and she did very well in the themes that she was comfortable with...I can remember when we learned she would do Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen I said "oh no"..Knowing how hard that one would be for her to do..James assured us that his connections said that Kellie felt comfortable with the song and he thought she would do well...When she finished I was in awe of her performance as she showed the world that she could be a rocker girl..
James simply said "I told you so"..
Then the themes got out of her comfort zone..They dressed her up in a lovely dress for Stevie Wonder week but that was not Kellie and you could tell she was not comfortable even though she looked very lovely..
Even though she performed "Suds In a Bucket" well that was not a song to
raise the bar with at that stage of the competition..She had so many to choose from that week..Unchained Melody you just do not attempt unless you have the vocals such as Clay Aiken had and can come close to Bobby Hatfield..She did well on that song also but the comparison factor was too great..In the latter stages of Idol you must be able to raise the bar and pull in the votes from the people over to your side less for them more for you..When you talk of 30 to 40 million votes that includes many who are not fans of any particular contestant..You have to "WOW" them with something to persuade their vote..Kelly did as did Carrie and Jordin...
Taylor Hicks was at the right place at the right time..He presented himself different with his jumping around etc..He developed very large fan base
and they worked hard whether he was the best singer or not...
It was those last themes that did Kellie in and in all those she was not in her comfort zone...If you take her out of the first two months Idol-5 would have been very boring and less entertaining....Chris should have been the winner but he nor Kat could top the Taylor fan base...But lets move on as history is the past and Kellie is a star and that star is on the rise...CD sales are not what they used to be as digital down loads are taking over so I do not judge a performer in sales as much as I used too..

I think u messed up the sequence. Stevie Wonder week was like Top 12 or earlier. As for Suds, she sang that well. I dont think she was uncomfortable because that was a Sara Evans #1 song. Wasnt that the week of the 21st C hits?

Personally i dont know why u keep raining on Kellie's parade. Kellie was doing so well. If anything she was impressing me by the week. Bo Rhap was one of her best performance. I think pp were upset she did a great job of it and it was one week that she was bashed most unmerciliessly. So she sang with a southern twang, i would call that singing to Kellie's particular "style". So what it was with a twang. She was dressed for the occasion. She sand and performed very well that night. Before that I tot she would do well, seeing that she had raised her bar week after week, however when i saw her performance i was totally bowled over.

U really think Susie McNeal sang like Freddie Mercury? She has been a professional rock artist for many years. And when she sang that song on Rockstar, she sang in her particular style and those pp on AI board were hailing it like it was the best ever performed for that song..

They were just mean. Period.

When Rod Stewart Classics came on the following week, she was so nervous. She sang ahead of the music. It wasn't even noticeable cos that song was so monotonous. She was too harsh on herself because she definitely did not "butchered" the song. In fact, Ryan said she did really well during dress rehearsal. Then came Unchained Melody. This was also another of those very boring songs. If she had stayed on for Elvis Week, i know she'd would have totally bowled them over.

Frankly, the crow eaters are still none too happy today as they were in 2006. I think Kellie landing #10 on GAC knocked them out. So far only 1 person congratulated the 5 idols who made Top 50 videos.

If i were to hazard a guess, if I'm on my way wasnt chosen as the "Send-Off" song for AI7, i wont be too surprised.

I did not say Kellie was uncomfortable doing Suds as she was not..Just that the selection of that song was not one that would raise the bar...To change the subject the stock market is down again..Oh no not another Clinton in the lead....
