AOL Power Picks 2007 for Idols
I haven't seen this, so i thought i should post this.
1. Carrie Underwood
2. Kelly Clarkson
3. Chris Daughtry
4. Jennifer Hudson
5. Jordin Sparks
6. Kellie Pickler
7. Elliott Yamin
8. Blake Lewis
9. Clay Aiken
10. Fantasia
11. Katherine McPhee
Interestingly this lists covers idols from all 6 season and Kellie is #6!!!  not bad considering some luminous idols were not mentioned or appeared lower down in the ranking. When this list appeared, it got some pp's underwear in a bunch because of that. LOL!

That is interesting. I wonder what they use to determine the rankings. Carrie at #1 - and ahead of Clarkson - is nice. Plus Kellie at #6 is extremely good, and ahead of three winners too.
Not too crazy about Lewis being ahead of Kat, seeing as her album was released during '07 and still has more sales. Not to mention tons more vocal talent.
What, no Taylor Hicks? hehe  |

This is kinda weird. I just read this and now they're talking to Taylor Hicks on TV right now. He apparently did the halftime show at the Liberty Bowl. This is probably the most pub he's had in a while. He said he was touring in Asia and has another CD coming out this year. |

I'll just repeat what I said over at AI.
It looks to me as if AOL gave more weighting to current or recent selling power, whether it be for albums or singles or airplay or even box office. Past performances in this area are relatively diminished but not discounted completely - a bit like a rolling 1-year or 2-year ranking chart like they use in tennis or golf. That would explain the absence of for example Josh Gracin or Bo Bice who both sold well, but a while ago. Possibly some element of star-future speculation too. Based on the above I reckon Bucky is just off this list.
