AI didn't mention Kellie

I am still upset that Kellie was not mentioned last night during AI. Artists less successful were promoted but nothing was said about Kellie. I support AI but don't understand why they would do this. Any thoughts ?

They're just not very bright. These are the same people who thought that bringing out Bette Midler as the big surprise would make for memorable TV.

It was the most boring finale show ever, I think.

There also are a lot of even more disappointed Kat fans. I don't think she was on the show at all this year.

Taylor's sold what 30k records since they certified it platinum but "it still has a chance".

Clive Davis needs to just retire.

ugh, it was an awful finale. The only performances i liked were Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. I hadn't even heard of most of the other performers! Anyway, I don't know why they didn't mention Kellie. I think they are just trying to make all the winners and runner-ups look better than they really are. I mean really, when was the last time I saw Taylor or Ruben on tv? Probably not since they've won!! At least I see Kellie, Kat, Bucky, and Chris's videos on tv pretty much everyday!

They were so trying to pimp Taylor up. I think the show is embarassed with this performance in album sales. I think Kellie is doing better than Taylor. Sure she is a little behind in album sales BUT she has gotten significantly more radio play than him. She even had a hit single, whereas Taylor hasn't. She IMO is doing the 2nd best of season 5 idols.

What a slap in the face to Katharine. Besides Bucky, she is the only one of the idols this season to release an album not to be invited back. I don't get why she gets a mention when her album sales suck AND her single is never played on the radio.

I don't really care much because she was invited back before any of the season 5 idols.

Kellie has outsold Taylor for like the last four months so yes she is doing better. Taylor has sold 679K to Kellie's 533K but that is only cause of week one sales where his bigger fanbase bought 298K while we bought 79K. I mean if you take out the week one totals for each...she has outsold him 454K to 381K.

The only reason I beleive Taylor, Kat, and Fantasia were mentioned and not say Kellie or Elliott is cause they are signed with Clive. I know he certainly couldn't have been praising those first two in fact he is probably embrassed by them and that's why he went straight to Chris D in his speech. Taylor was the winner and at least will sell 700K but Kat man she would be lucky to hit 500K at this rate.

Kat not coming back doesn't bother me cause IMO 19/RCA gave her top notch marketing and publicity for her and her album and they promoted the heck out of her single and still nothing. I heard her music video was played in 5,000 movie theaters for one weekend two months ago...nobody else was offered that. She was everywhere upon and during her release on TV, radio, magazines, online adds, and she did receive good airplay. AI played her song during the Top 24-16 weeks when they would show the remaining girls it wasn't the single but another track off her album. Ryan also mentioned her #2 debut over Taylor's one night even though he sold over 150K more in his debut week. AI gave her good promotion and dropped her names many times.

I did see Bucky in the audience last night. I was glad when Clive Davis talked big about Chris Daughtry before giving Carrie her plaque. I was upset because they had Chris on the very last thing on Tuesday night and he wasn't talked to or anything. I know that Chris is the biggest success of last season AI but Kellie is right behind him. I believe that Chris, Kellie, and even Bucky are going to be bigger successes than awful Taylor.

Yeah...I was kinda disappointed as well. I was really hoping they would mention Kellie. I was kinda frustrated when they didn't. Kellie is way better than Taylor ever thought about being!

Compared to past AI seasons, this one had to be the absolute suckiest!
From the whole of this season, I saved Jordin's & Haley's performanes on tape; nothing else. Oh yeah, maybe Gina, I think. Even the finale was lousy. I'll save Jordin's win and swan song, Kelly & Carrie. The rest was a huge waste of time.
Lemme tell ya how really BAD the season was. The AI tour is coming to Baltimore, this year and I DON'T CARE. The arena is like 30 minutes from my front door; DON'T CARE! I may drive down there & hang out in case Kellie shows up, but that's it.
And, yes, I kept waiting to hear Kellie's name, last night, too. Huge disappointment.
